he's right. noel is a has been. not to mention an awful guitarist with no imagination. All that and nine number ones. That's real talent. For someone to have no imagination and be awful on the guitar and to have a good 70,000 people sing your songs at one time must be a great feeling.

^^Well said indeed. It really is ridiculous how Noel can't say anything about this whole Jay-Z thing without everybody jumping all over him for supposedly being racist, reactionary etc.

It really is ridiculous how Noel can't say anything about this whole Jay-Z thing without everybody jumping all over him for supposedly being racist, reactionary etc. Welcome to the world brother. Same thing if you follow this election...Anything McCain says about Obama is somehow always portrayed as being driven by racism. I'm so tired of this double standard. Can you imagine if there was a White Entertainment Television? Sharpton and the boys would be burning it down like it's Don Imus. But nope, they can have a network where you never see a white person...yet if that happened on say ABC on a TV show, they'd label it as racist. So instead they always have atleast 2 or 3 minorities on a show. I really have no racist feelings toward them, just frustration. If you wanna be just another person and not be judged by your color, why would you have a segregated network that isolates you from everybody else? Once again, I've had black, dominican, indian, chinese, etc.. friends throughout my life. It just riles me up when another instance like this comes up when Noel can't say a word without the color of skin being brought up. Yet never the other way around...However, I really respect Jay Z for acting as classy as he did throughout this stupid media driven shit. He didn't do anything malicious...nothing worse than Noel or Liam would've done

Can you imagine if there was a White Entertainment Television? I agree with the rest of your post but in fairness, practically any national network in the US other than BET, MTV or UPN is White Entertainment Television.

Blacks are about 3% of the population in the US...yet on BET, you see a white guy once a month maybe. The national networks represent the population alot closer. It should be Asians complaining...There's just as many if not more of them here now and you never see them on TV

Eh?
Maybe you mistyped the 3%. Wikipedia has 13.1% for African Americans; 12.7% for non-Hispanic blacks, and .33% for Hispanic Blacks. 5.1% is the number they give for Asian Americans. It's the Hispanic and Latino population that's exploding, listed at 15.7%.

That means basically 1 out of every 10 people in this country are black. If you watch network TV, that's pretty accurately represented.

Right, network tv. And most of that is sitcoms on UPN. I don't really see that on cable.
