Anyone else like him? I've had his greatest hits collection for 3 years now, and it's fucking ace
Free Falling, Don't Do Me Like That, The Waiting, Refuge, Even the Losers, Don't Come Round Here No More, Learning to Fly, and Last Dance With Mary Jane are pure quality
Great cd for the summer. Bombing down the road, sun shinning, windows down, music up.....Tom Petty and Oasis are my fav 2 bands to blare while driving
What do you reckon?
If you don't know what I'm on about, i highly advise you to log onto iTunes or Amazon and buy "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers -- Greatest Hits" You won't be disappointed
SO GOOD

I do like Tom Petty, though his Super Bowl performance was a little lame. He has some great classic rock songs, and Wildflowers is probably my favorite album of his. 'Wildflowers', 'you wreck me', 'A higher place'...there are some great songs on there. That being said I haven't put on a tom petty album in many years.

I've never listened to him but if he's anything like Neil Young he must be fantastic!

I saw him a couple years ago. Pearl Jam opened for him. I was there for PJ. He is a great artist, but the show was very boring.

He's a top artist, should defo give him a try where should I start? start with the greatest hits, like l4e said. then, go into "damn the torpedos" and "full moon fever." also, he was in the traveling wilburys along with bob dylan, roy orbison, george harrison and jeff lynne, so "traveling wilburys, vol. 1" would be another great album to buy.
