They have to be very selective about where they extend themselves (in arena size). For instance, they could never sell out a Seattle arena (Key Arena), but they might sell out GM Place or the other Canadian arenas in Calgary and Edmonton (looks like the Saddledome is already close). I'm a little dubious about Vancouver though. I'd hate to see a poor turnout there. Last tour, the Seattle show at the Everett arena was half empty. The upper deck was closed off.
Like a previous poster said, so long as they don't get greedy and do a bunch of shows nearbythey could certainly sell out two nights at MSG. Their show on the last tour there was probably my favorite. Along with the Ryman and Air Canada Centre.
I've got some inside sources and will try to scare up some more info on this.

I deal with Livenation, MSG and AEG doing Radio Promotions. I was talking to the Marketing Manager of MSG yesterday about the upcoming Verve show and I asked her if she's heard any rumblings of Oasis coming to town, she hasn't heard anything but said she'd keep me posted.
With that being said, I do think Oasis would have no problem selling out the Garden twice. The demand was there last time, selling out in under an hour. Plus most of the die hards would go to both nights, especially the people that travelled from other cities.

They sold out MSG in 2005...Awesome night, I was there! And was at the pre-game at Mustang something I forget. Then I saw them at a sold out (20,000 seat) Tweeter Center in MA! So I think the answer is definitely yes:)
