I don't care really the Frank wont release it. We'll hear it in due time. It's just the principle of Frank's actions that bother me.
I was thinking about this, though. What makes forums like this work, and what contributes greatly to hardcore fans of anything is the sense of community, belonging, and love for the same thing.
Someone in another thread stated that when he has unreleased material, he can't wait to share it. --> That's my point here. That's what separates recreational fans from the hardcore fans. It's one thing to listen to a record on your own and appreciate it, but being able to share the experience with others who care just as deeply about it is much more special.
This applies to everything in life. Why are night clubs fun? Why is going to watch a football match fun? Why is going to the movies with friends fun? etc. All that can be enjoyed in solitude, but have friends, and even thousands of likeminded strangers in the example of football, makes the experience so much better.
This is not a bash/flame Frank post, so I didn't want to mention his name. But I will to conclude my point.
Frank may have the song, but ironically he is the real loser in all of this. He is not experiencing the excitement of sharing things as described above.
Remember when DBTT came out, this forum was flooded with opinions and user reviews, and opinions -- that's why this forum exists, so we can share our passion with people who are just as passionate, that's the fun of it all. The new album, and STC will be no different.
So stop bothering and bashing Frank - not because it's immoral, not because he doesn't deserve it, and not because there's little chance he'll cave in. Rather, stop because when the song is finally released, we will all be buzzing about STC and the new album, while Frank will be left isolated considering it's no longer new to him.
Cheers

Honestly, as much as I'm dying to hear the song, I really don't care anymore. All these teases and fake reviews have just worn my excitement down. I mean I'm obviously still looking foward to this album more than anything else, but I don't have that burning desire more where I would've listened to pretty much any leak that came about. Now I've really got no problem waiting for the first single then the actual album.

I can't wait for the 'All that wait for nothing' threads. I mean, its been compared to Who Feels Love and thats hardly a masterpiece is it. Trust me when I say it's a cross between the acoustic version of Setting Sun at Luna Park and the MTV acoustic performance of Who Feels Love with a dash of the La's "Looking Glass" (The 'Turn the pages over, turn the World around' part) and a couple of minor chords. I also don't believe Frank has it at all. I bet he paid a shit load just to get the four other tracks. Come on, if he had it he would of leaked it or at least a snippet of it.

To be honest, that's where we all went wrong. We all should have doubted Frank, no matter what we truly thought. It's psychology. -- By us doubting him, he would get annoyed and upset that he would feel he HAD to release the song, or snippets of it anyway, to PROVE us wrong. I'm with you, I don't think he has it either, and not because of my above paragraph, I truly believe he doesnt have it. Again, it hardly matters. There's a good chance STC will be on this new album, and if it is, then we'll get it soon enough. The ONLY good thing about idiots like this is that it gives us something to talk about. Until Oasis start releasing information (Tour Dates, Track listings....ALBUM RELEASE DATE! GRR) this is all we have, and tbh, it's better than nothing. So cheers Frank for keeping us entertained by your Tom Foolery. You're not a complete waste of space after all....
