Does anyone know if Oasis have performed many venues that the Beatles have also performed at? I'm just curious, because I know that the Beatles played Festival Hall in Melbourne in 1964, and I saw Oasis there in 2005 (i dont think its been refurbished since 1964 either), I was wondering if this was a common occurrence.

i'm sure they played plenty of shows at places the beatles have (hollywood bowl, for example). it's hardly a coincidence, unless oasis played the cavern or shea stadium.

Ah, I will miss Shea after this year...I was kind of hoping Macca would play it instead of Billy Joel this year, but nonetheless...

Staying off topic, but can't mention The Beatles and Shea without posting this Back on topic, I'd be surprised if there's that many places where both have played. Tour venues were very different back then and obviously a lot have closed or relocated. However, I do know that they played a venue, funnily enough in Manchester, called The Oasis Club.
