The hidden track thread got me thinking about this. Noel has said he may include LDSMD on the new album.
As much as I like LDSMD, and I do, I don't want it on the new album. The song is available to everyone, it would render wasted money for those who bought the single version of it, and I want completely new material for the new album!
But with that said, LDSMD is good. I know it divided some opinions, as many said it wouldn't even make an early Oasis b-side. That may be the case. It's no Live Forever. But it's def up there with their post-2000 stuff --> shits over Little James - but everything does lol, better than half the stuff on HC, and would have fit very nicely on DBTT (don't know why they didn't include it, considering it was written in time, wasn't it?) Lyrics are ok, sound is good (different style, an album worth of that would be irritating, but a one-off is fine, but the drumming saves it....love the drumming solos...)
Side note: LDSMD seems me to be a better version of Mucky Fingers (same style -- dependence on the drums)...if anything, should have been on DBTT in place of that
With all that said: LDSMD is not a CRAP song by any means.
As I said in the original hidden track post, those hidden tracks tend to be crap. Again, it basically infers that that track was so bad that it can't even count as filler on the regular album (The Cage is horrendous)
Sooo LDSMD for a hidden track would: 1.) Give the song to those who didn't buy the $2 single, but make them work for it by finding it 2.) Not be put on the new album as a regular track at the expense of new material 3.) It's not a crap song, and worthy of people discovering it
I know Noel won't do this, but to me it's a great idea. What do you reckon?

What are you on about? Why would any sane person think this is a good idea?

I always hate having to fast forward to find hidden tracks. Like Running The World by Jarvis Cocker it takes about a couple of minutes just to cue it up.

hidden tracks were cool 15 years ago, not anymore I agree, but if there's gonna be a hidden track, I'd rather it be LDSMD (for the above reasons) rather than a crap song like The Cage, or a good unreleased song like WPTWOTWOMS as it would be new material worthy of a substantial place on the album.....

Hidden Tracks are cool when there is no bullshit gap you have to wait for - I like the hidden tracks that are hidden BEFORE the 1st track on some albums, where the CD starts and you have to hit the back button to get to a hidden track. But really I don't want a hidden track on the new album, and if I did , it certainly would not be LDSMD

I want new material on the new album!!! So I don't want LDSMD And I'm not a fn of hidden tracks especially when you have to wait 33 min to have it It's annoying when you put the album on MP3 players or when you want to duplicate it I remember I've listened to HC a lot of times and stopped the CD and never got to listen to the Cage. One day I just let it in the stereo without much thought and when the Cage came it scared the hell out of me I was reading

hypothetically speaking if there was a a hidden track why wouldn't one want it to be a new song? whether it be like the cage or not (which i do not think is shit in anyway), new material is much more exciting then a track like lord don't slow me down which will be over a year old when the album comes out or who put the weight of the world on my shoulders which will be pushing what, 3 years? i would be extremely dissapointed if either of those songs made an appearance on the album or on a single. i want new material, its been long enough.
