the people here who criticize topics do so because they simply disagree and see it as stupid.
While I do disagree with the idea by the original thread, I do commend you for such a post. Most people here respect such posts, hence the good response you've gotten. It's just the select few who ruin it for others with their "superior" notion of themselves and their corresponding views.
The more original, novel....and to a certain extent absurd....the better.
The standard topics of "Most Over-rated/Under-rated, Best/Worst Oasis Song", "Liams Voice", "Noel Going Solo" etc, while interesting in their own right, are talked about non stop. It's nice to have diverse topics
Lastly, I don't understand the people who criticize such topics - why are they in this forum then? Point of a forum is discussion. You can only discuss when there's a topic that causes differing opinions.... ------------ Now to respond to your post lol
Logically, I see where you're coming from. But Oasis have their sound. Nothing will unintentionally influence them. And since Oasis hates bands like The Killers, I can't see them intentionally mimicking that sound.
For me Part of the Queue was the most British Sounding Oasis song (along with Importance of Being Idle)....both of which are amazing songs
DBTT was class, it really was. And this album seems to be following the same production pattern so I see no reason to believe an American sound will take place.
Cheers

I don't see them ever sounding american anyway I dunno, a few of Noel's songs have been sounding quite American of late, especially Lord Don't Slow Me Down...

Once something's labeled or legalized it's no longer interesting. Enjoy it, don't think about it so much. Breathe it. Feel it. Love it.

If you're in Ohio it's about half four in the morning so I assume you're either pissed or on something. Breathe it. Feel it. Love it.
Confucious has nothing on you dude!

Ah right, never been there.
Was at uni in Ohio for a bit though and a fellow student asked me what language we spoke in England.
Pretty scary that.
