I know another list....but I was wondering where you would put Liam (now I must say that this is Liam at his best) against the other front men (at their best) the UK has produced. You could choose from...
Mick Jagger, Roger Daltry, Freddie Mercury, Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, Joe Strummer, Jarvis Cocker, Richard Ashcroft, Johnny Rotten, Ian Brown, Ian Curtis, Lennon/McCartney, Morrissey, Noddy Holder, Bruce Dickinson, Kelly Jones, James Dean Bradfield, Damon Albarn, Ray Davies,Phil Collins, Robert Smith,Bowie as Ziggy...I know I'm stretching now.
Any of your own.
I don't mean just voice, it includes presence, ability to hold an audience etc...

One of the best easily.
Not many front men can stand completely still all gig and still have everyone 's eyes fixed on them.
He was the 90s lad culture personified and the crowds loved it

Liam's number one for me too Matt Bellamy is also fascinating IMO Can't tell much about the frontmen of "classic" bands... never been a fan or seen them... Well from the list above I would rank mercury and jagger high obviously I like Kelly Jones too

Not many front men can stand completely still all gig and still have everyone 's eyes fixed on them. I could be wrong, but I heard Liam was extremely short sighted, and that is why he stares out the crowd, he can't see at all really, so he looks at a fixed point and stares at it....still looks fucking menacing though. ;D That is why he has so many prescription sunglasses

As stated before, it's a testament to him that he doesn't have to dance around and stuff in order to get the crowd's attention. He had no peer in the 90s and can't think of anyone to take his throne from the modern bunch of bands.

Surely Liam is one of the greatest front men to me too, but those men are on my list above him:
Joe Strummer Paul Weller Ian Curtis Ian Brown

Liam would be my number one, but I was really surprised at Richard Ashcroft. He had such presence on stage - I loved him.
