Does that seem like a quick turnaround to you? Jilliam informed us yesterday that Oasis is still mixing the album in L.A. Do you think they can finish up the album and promotions in just 3 months time? I'm skeptical.

I'm skeptical. me too but May would be perfect cus they could go back to the european summer festivals im more skeptical for all the artwork and lack of news related to song and album titles rather than being skeptical for the mixing thing |

The January edition of Q said it would be out in May it wouldn't be surprising that a newspaper editor takes a music magazine such as Q as a source for dates etc. Hell, reviewers of Oasis concerts can't even tell the Gallaghers apart ..... |

if they can start promoting while they mix and maybe mix and finish the lead single first and release it by March or April, i can see it coming out in may. As long as Oasis are not too picky about the mix, it shouldnt take too long to get everything good, maybe they will finish the mix in March, then have 2 months to get it to stores, its not too out of the question

i don't think you'll see noel and co. rush anything ie. songs, mixing, album titles, promo, etc, etc... i cant see it coming out in may...

Agreed. Perhaps, just maybe, the first single in May... but not the album. Yeah, I was actually thinking a May single release myself. I don't see the whole album being released in May. I actually have become comfortable with the August release date. If the album gets released before, then great. |

Yeah im quite happy with august as its nearly halfway through febuary anyway, time will fly but i did want to see them at festivals this year & obviously releasing the album in may/june would have been perfect but august is a bit late for that although they may do the festivals with the new material but no one will know the music ulnless it leaks, if it leaks im not listening to it till its released.
my money is in june.

sounds good... lets figure on a april single with the album to follow in june.... oasis has enuff material that they could play a few big festivals in the first of the summer and not need to play 'alot' of songs off the new album... they could play the new single and a couple others with the rest classics,, then revamp the setlist for their tour after the album in released...

i don't think their gonna release a single on may and the record on august, generally a single is to promote an album...
kinda hoping single on May,, album on June

single may,....album june would be perfect!!!!  European tour July/August/September,....hit the Staates October/November!!!(...I´m in Athens,Georgia for two weeks on November,hopefully they play the Philips Arena that time!!!)  |
