OASIS - GOING TO CALIFORNIA
5 February 2008
Oasis have flown out to Los Angeles to finish recording their seventh studio album with Producer David Sardy. Once recordings are complete, they will stay in L.A. to mix the album.

Nope, nothing what more, exactly, did you want it to say? "Noel: "Yeah, we're going out to finish recording and then mix it""?? it gave as much information as there was to give. Ehh no I wouldn't want a quote like that, would you not like to hear a few words from somebody? How about "We're pretty much done with most of the songs, Liam has to record a few vocal tracks, I'm not happy with the guitar on stop the clocks blah blah". Actual quotes about the album. Updates. Information etc. Are you happy with the official updates we've been getting? |

I'd think they'd be on schedule if anything.
I don't think we ever really had concrete news that the band was actually at the mixing stage.
But I'd say that with this news, the August release date is looking more and more likely.

Yeah the only reason we were under the impression that they have been mixing for several weeks is that news broadcast from that radio station on the east coast. Maybe that was a phony report.

The bands schedule was to come to LA in February and mix the Album. It was a reliable source who informed me the beginning of January but did not want it made public. Everything is on schedule |

Liam's been in Beverly Hills since at least Jan. 31st: Published: 01 Feb 2008 THERE are only a couple cans of Red Stripe and a few million quid separating LIAM GALLAGHER and TV’s best-loved scoundrel Frank Gallagher. OASIS frontman Liam was out and about in Beverly Hills sporting the same shaggy hair as boozy, tax-dodging Shameless rogue Frank. But although Liam is a little more clean-shaven than Frank, played by actor DAVID THRELFALL, the proud Manc pair have more in common than just their love of alcohol and cigarettes. They both enjoy nowt more than to let fly with an abusive rant. But that alone isn't evidence that the rest of the band has been there, it only proves that Liam is there. However, Mr. Webmaster's source has confirmed that the band is on schedule so all is good! |

Obviously I would prefer more official news (not that this would stop the rumours, anyway), but not just for the sake of it. They will make official announcements when there is something concrete to say, in my opinion. Also, let's face it - Oasis are probably the most picked on band ever by the music press. So, if Noel comes out and says "I'm not entirely happy with the guitars" then NME would sensationalise it and report "Gem & Andy to be sacked in Oasis Sex/Drugs Scandal!!!!"  so I understand why he wouldn't say anything which could be twisted in any way. |
