I have a friend in Ignition Management at 54 Linhope St. London, she is close friend of Maggie Mouzakitis. The news is...there is no news. There are still mixing with Dave Sardy in the US, the problem is that all four band members brought new songs to the sessions in the states...so they have to try to see if any of those work. There is no album title, or first single. Noel has mentioned that he always wants a stomper rock song as first single, and there is just no candidate yet. Big, Big problem is distribution and publicity, they are gonna "whore" (Noels words) the new album to all the major labels when it is finished, and the rumour is that Richard Branson at Virgin may be interested in signing Oasis to Virgin Records. There is NO problem about Gigs, Marcus Russell has every venue wanting Oasis this summer...but he is wary of many nights at 02 arena London as the band might find it "boring".
So that's all I know, sorry no real news.

I forgot to mention that Oasis will be at this years Brits to see Paul McCartney win his lifetime achievement award, and it will be there that we will get some real news as Noel will give an exclusive interview to Radio 1 about the album.

Realisticly we know theres been no news but it may be me acting like a small child but i get excited when i hear the littlest bit of album gossip, as a hardcore group of fans i think we'd all agree that it all part of it. On oasis doing o2 arena, that would be handy for me as i live about 15 mins away in east london & also if oasis do play there i think they would only play 2 or 3 nights, i cant imagine liam being able to sing 7 or 8 nights worth, how many nights did prince do there? 15 or something, thats mental
In my opinion i think that they'll play
V festival (august when album is out) Wembley stadium x 2 or 3

Thanks for the info, I'd rather read truthful no news than fake news from tennis players.

The most believable out of anything posted so far and probably true.

Got to thinking that if they indeed "whore" the new album around to various record labels, wouldn't it be a risk that the album would leak months before it is released? I don't think that's the way they gonna do it. Sounds a bit risky.

and the rumour is that Richard Branson at Virgin may be interested in signing Oasis to Virgin Records. Is that the same Richard Branson who doesn't own Virgin Records anymore? OR is there another guy with exactly the same name sho owns that company now?

yeah...the less "newsy" the post appears to be matters not. It's funny how these people some how "connected" to the band in one way or the other start to come out of the woodwork right about this time.

OASIS - GOING TO CALIFORNIA 5 February 2008
Oasis have flown out to Los Angeles to finish recording their seventh studio album with Producer David Sardy. Once recordings are complete, they will stay in L.A. to mix the album. From Oasisinet.
See...no album title. no track listing, still mixing, still recording (new songs).

Interesting. I wonder if they will re-record the album with a new drummer (see that Zak is definitely not in California).

Interesting. I wonder if they will re-record the album with a new drummer (see that Zak is definitely not in California). Terry Kirkbride drummed on DBTT demos, some of DBTT was completed at Wheeler End Studios. This proves that they did not finish recording at Abbey Road, leaving space to record new songs in the US. Let There Be Love was recorded at Strangeways, Metropolis, Wheeler end, and Capitol Records US. That's a lot of studios.

Does this mean that Terry (or A N other drummer) will be drumming on the album recording sessions in LA?

Sorry if I've missed something but how do we know Zak isn't in California with the rest of the band?
