Three songs confirmed for new album by my uncle:
-- Stop the Clocks (written by Noel, sung by Noel) -- Cut and Shut (written by Gem, sung by Liam) -- I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine (written by Noel, sung by Liam)
I live in New York, but am originally from the Canary Islands and just spent my winter break from my tech college with family in London. My uncle Andrew Pollock serves as a Second Violin in the London Symphony Orchestra. I was over at his flat for dinner with my aunt and uncle just before leaving for home, they were having a farewell dinner for me, when he shocked me by telling me about a two day project he did in December of last year.
He said he was one of the orchestra members called in to record on the new Oasis record. He, along with other many other orchestra members, were asked to record on three of the songs. He added that the orchestra recorded on more songs than just the three, but these three were the ones he was asked to perform on. Even though the songs kind of got ingrained into his head after playing on and listening to them for two days, he said that he couldn’t tell me any of the lyrics or what the songs sound like, as he was required to sign a standard non-disclosure agreement. But he did have a piece of paper left over from the sessions and he let me look at it, and that’s where I found out what I wrote above. The paper had the names of the three songs he performed on, along with songwriting credits and vocal credits. I asked him what he thought of Stop the Clocks, and he told me it was one of the nicest constructed songs he had ever heard. He said the chord changes are brilliant and he wished he could tell me more about it. Well that’s all, I just wanted to share my cool experience with all of you. I’m so excited about this record now.
