* "Stop the Clocks" is the song which opens the new album. It is being sung by Liam and is planned as the first single. Noel was initially reluctant to release it as the lead single, as he thought the public might confuse the song with the best-of album. But Liam talked him into it. The band did not re-record the song, but used one of the versions from the DBTT sessions, a version that sounds like "Looking Glass" meeting "Who Feels Love?". However, it is being given a new mix in Los Angeles. * "I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine" is the song which closes the new album. It is sung and written by Noel. Noel hopes that fans will liken the track to "Champagne Supernova" and not "All Around the World". The guitar layers on this song rival anything heard on the "Be Here Now" album. The album will be named after this track. * "The Boy With the Blues" is the best song Liam has written to date, in Noel's opinion. Noel wants it to be a single, but said it wouldn't work as the lead single because there are not enough parts to it. The lead single is coming out 3 months before the album and it needs to hold its own until then. * "A Sad Day in the World" is a track penned by Andy. It's kind of like "Keep the Dream Alive" crossed with the Rolling Stones. It was demoed last year as an acoustic song, but for the album version backwards guitar was added with lots of distortion, which also can be heard on the opening and closing tracks. * "Lord Don't Slow Me Down" is being included as a bonus track. While the album has eleven tracks that are now being mixed, this will appear as track twelve. It is the same as the single which came out last year. ** A couple of other notes- The song heard in LDSMD is not going to be on the new album. Noel still isn't happy with the lyrics, as he has only written one verse. Instead of repeating the same verse 2 or 3 times, Noel is waiting for inspiration to hit him, whether he is high or not. Noel said that after they finished recording this album, they still had loads of songs left over from back during the DBTT sessions, which will lay the framework for the eighth album. The album is a cross between "Don't Believe the Truth" and "Be Here Now" in that the songs will absolutely blow you away, but the production is massive, like the "Be Here Now" days. Source: Luke Lewis phone interview with Noel Gallagher Hey friends- as many of you still had lingering questions after I posted the upcoming article from Q magazine, I went back to my source to try to get more information. He e-mailed me a printout of the entire interview which Luke did with Noel last week. However, he said I was not authorized to release it publicly, because some of the information will be used in a Q magazine article two months from now. But I looked it over and tried to put everything together for you. I hope you enjoyed reading this exclusive.Rafy

True or not true, but anything that combines Looking Glass (I presume by The La's) and Who Feels Love sounds like it could fucking awesome.

IF this is true then I am really disappointed about 'To Love True Love' not being on it. That song sounded awesome.
I don't know if this man is telling te truth or not but if he isn't then he should write for The Daily Star because his shit is way more believable then theirs . . .

Lock this down. I pm'ed him the info about STC on another forum-- what the song actually sounds like, just to see if he would use it... and he did. This guy is a fake.
By the way, TheImportance... the song does really sound like that. I'll have to post on another thread to tell you more.
