The daily star ( on the front page of L4E news states that the new album 'opens with a Liam Gallagher-penned acoustic track 'Boy With The Blues', but in recent interviews with the band, they have clearly said that is a physcaldelic album with NO acoustic tracks........ ??

Is it really necessary to put 'new album' in caps?? I know you want attention but that's a pretty annoying tease

I can believe that the new Oasis album includes no acoustic, coz the boys have said that in a interview (Although this can change). I'm a bit more skeptical about that the album opens with The Boy With The Blues though. They haven't said a word about which songs are gonna be in it.

yeah of course there's gonna be acoustic songs on the album, it wouldn't be Oasis if it didn't... they might be acoustic with guitar solos like Part of The Queue or maybe more like TIOBI witch has an acoustic guitar base...
btw don't believe everything the papers says as well, there's no proof even if Boy With The Blues will be in the album... wait to come out from the Gallagher's mouth, that's for sure...

Yeah, perhaps the tabloids print these bogus rumors in an effort to get Oasis' management to refute the story, and, thus, offer the press the actual truth......... ...don't believe the truth....

LIAM said it in an interview, which basically means to me we still don't know anything yet. I mean come on, I'm surprised enough when Liam knows what city he's in on tour. An Oasis album with no acoustic guitar would be like Billy Joel or Elton John putting out an album with no piano. And now that Noel's officially said this album will be "psychedelic," how the heck can you make psychedelic rock album without any acoustic guitar? That's what softens the whole song...

If there's no acoustic songs, there are definitely going to be acoustic b-sides. We have the picture in studio of the guys clapping. They don't do that for electric.

Well, I believe they said that 'Boy With the Blues' will be on the album and it's acoustic.
But I too am confused because they stated many times that no acoustic songs are on it.
But maybe they meant that there are no songs that are totally acoustic (Talk Tonight, Heart of a Star, Songbird).
It sounded like it was going to be like Definitely Maybe but now that it's 'phsycedelic' I don't know what to think.
