So, I've been reading trough a lot of the topics here for a while, and I've seen a lot of posts with what you guys hope will be included on the new album, how it would sound like etc. So I thought I'd just make a thread for this subject. Anyway, here is what I'd like the new album to include, and what sound it should have: I'd really really want another Be Here Now, so if this album should turn up to be Be Here Now pt.2, I'd be really happy! I hope that these songs are on it: Stop The Clocks, The Boy With The Blues, and I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine. I especially hope that Stop The Clocks would sound like a cross between The Masterplan, Wonderwall, and Gas Panic! complete with a huge orchestra I hope there will be some huge rockers on there like Bring It On Down, Headshrinker, and Columbia. I also want the album to be mostly Liam sung, with Noel singing a couple of songs on it.

i want an album with a lot of rock n roll songs, really powerful but the songs not being too long and not being overproduced and i hope 'i wanna live in a dream in my record machine' is as good as 'all around the world'

I read somewhere Noel likened it more to a long Champagne Supernova than All Around the World, but either way I can't imagine it turning out bad. As far as my wishlist, they are honestly giving me all I could ask for if they do indeed put out a psychedelic album. Although I admit I'm a bit baffled they're doing this after they've given up smack and all the trippy stuff...SOTSOG for that matter too. But maybe that's a good thing? However, I must admit I'm very curious to see how Zak's drumming will fit this new style. Psychedelic music usually has pretty simple drums...and I gotta admit I don't particularly like his drumming over Whitey's on Champagne Supernova, so I'm not sure what to expect as far as that goes on this record. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with the apparent direction of their new album

you have low expectatiions i know what i don't want for the new album... i don't want a repeat of DBTT As long as the first single don't sound like The Hindu Times or Lyla. I think those two sounds very much like one another. Don't get me wrong on this one, I like those two songs, especially Lyla, but we need something a little different now.

I want: 1- Stop The Clocks on it. (hopefully suitable for liam`s voice) 2- A lot of Noel Written Songs, cause i still consider him the best songwriter in oasis by far.. (i want it to have 7 of noel`s 2 liam`s (gotta admit wanna hear the boy with the blues)1 andy and 1 gem) 3- Alot of songs sung by Liam. (9 liam - 2 Noel) 4.- I want it released before August. 5.- I want it to have a good production. (they can do better that they have so far imo) I had a dream yesterday that following the beatles obsession they released a double album named simple Oasis and had a simple re cover but i hope that never happens cause it will be to much...

I've been downplaying in my mind wanting another BHN, but i'm listening to it know, full volume. AMAZING.
Truth is, I want Oasis to be popular again, and if they create another BHN they wont be. But now, i dont give a shit.
We wont get another BHN bc Noel has learnt from what made the critics hate it, but we could very get a BHN 2.0 - a much improved version.
To do this day I cant decide which i like better, BHN or DBTT. BHN just gets the edge i guess - it's more fun, while DBTT is more mature and focused.
But yeah, i want anthems. Guitar solos. --> But then again, thats all pretty synonymous with Oasis, isnt it?
Except for SOTSOG and HC which were the low points - albeit with some great tunes on each - Oasis have ALWAYS delievered.
I'm so optimistic for this album. DBTT marked a turning point. If DBTT sucked, then it would have been all over im afraid.
I just love how focused, determined, and mature the band are now. We havnt seen this drive since their glory days.
**Oasis wont ever get back to the heights of the 90s, but that's because the critics wont allow them. However, i feel this forthcoming album will deserve to propel them back to the very top.
I fuckin love this band.

Yes, we need more guitar solos! Why did they stop doing those?
And I'm just listening to Guns. I don't now if any of you guys have heard it, but it's an early mix of the Prodigy song Shoot Down that features the Gallaghers. Liam on vox and Noel on bass. The new record should have a song like this one! Its really rockin' especially the bass line!
Also, I hope this album has more than 10 songs, but I doubt we'll get more than 10, maybe 11. A double album would've been really great, but I doubt that will ever happen.

my wish list for the new album would be, quite simply, that Noel writes AT LEAST 9 out of the 11 songs on it (Liam the remaining 1 or 2), sings on at least 3 of them and does all of the lead guitar parts.
thats what i want, but it wont happen.

What id be going for would be a few real belters to get the album kicked off, maybe an instrumental like Fuckin' In The Bushes, a proper pump up tune, you know, a few genuine riffs, and solos, but nothing as drawn out as for say maybe something on Be Here Now. Then jump straight into the lead track, whatever that may be, and I would mind a few mellowed out tunes aswell, there was nothing wrong with Gas Panic, but I want songs like Mucky Fingers avoided, way too simple. Thats not to say I don't mind some acoustic, if they're good tunes then stick em on there definitely.
