i wasn't sure where to post this, so i put it here. feel free to move it to the right part of the forum. my mate works at q magazine and e-mailed me this proof from the upcoming issue. being a big oasis fan, i found this interesting.--
Q Magazine "First Look at Oasis #7" with Luke Lewis
Release date: exact date TBA, expected late summer
Hot on the heels of our successful 2008 preview issue, Noel Gallagher has granted Q Magazine an exclusive peek into the upcoming seventh studio album from Oasis. This will mark the first release for Oasis on new label Universal, a deal which was inked last year. In our brief phone interview, Noel spoke highly of Universal, as he was quite pleased with the promotional support given in 2007, something definitely missing from the Sony years, at least in America.
Noel confirmed five songs that would be included on the as-of-yet untitled disc, including "I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine", "The Boy With the Blues", "Stop the Clocks", "A Sad Day in the World" and the previously released track "Lord Don't Slow Me Down". Noel and the band are set to join producer Dave Sardy soon in Los Angeles to approve the final mixes of all eleven tracks.
Noel added that two of the songs: "I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine" and "Stop the Clocks" set the tone for the entire album, and will likely be used to open and close the disc. In one word, he described the album as "psychedelic", and said that both songs take the listener on "an acid trip without the acid". When asked which previous album he would liken the new album to, Noel said it would be a cross between 'Be Here Now' and 'Don't Believe the Truth.' More details to come in our next issue.

This sounds cool, except for the Lord Don't Slow Me Down part- I really hope they don't put that on the album

Maybe they worked on it a bit more. It's a good tune, Liam singing it would make it great

Yeah, I'd go for LDSMD as long as they improve on it. The single release sounds very bare bones.

Hmm.. This is the first I've seen of the title "A Sad Day In The World." That doesn't sound like an Oasis tune to me.
A cross between Be Here Now and Don't Believe The Truth. That sounds ace!

A cross between BHN and DBTT.... that sounds fuckin' genious!!! And I believe we can draw some conclusions from this... since I Wanna Live A Dream In A Record Machine seems to be a 10 minute long song, it will most certainly be the last song... which means Stop The Clocks will be the first and sung by Liam, since I believe Noel wouldn't sing the opener song of the album... considering this and the existence of the song " A Sad Day in The World" is enough to consider mr. themessenger a complete lying asshole...

My guess is this is legit. well that could give the guy a little bit more credibility...but inets board doesnt seems too reliable as well what looks very suspicious to me is the "approve the final mixes" thing...i thought the bands went to a mix session not to approve it, but actually to do it along with the producer or whoever anyway, i hope its a fake just because LDSMD might be on the album according to this

Mixing down is typically something the producer will do. It's when they add the little effects and things that make it their song and not just Oasis. Although I too am somewhat surprised Noel hasn't been there during the mixing sessions, his s presence isn't necessary at all. I just figured he'd be there knowing the input he tends to have over how everything turns out. However, I do remember reading a quote from him about how he's ready to just let "someone else" a.k.a. the producer "do all the work." And in case you were wondering how I know all this stuff about mixing, I too am a producer.
