Living in America, it makes me SICK when I hear these idiots who don't know any better thinking they like rock music because they like Fall Out Boy! It's frightening really...American teens today think rock music is FOB and Good Charlotte (who both make me wanna scratch my eyes out). Everything has become $$$ here and bands like Oasis and Kasabian could NEVER make it big here again because of that. I mean for crying out loud Britney Spears actually got a ton of airplay with her first 2 songs and she's the laughing stock of pretty much planet earth. Not mention if you listen to her new music enough, you actually start to morph into white trash

Ahhh I see...sorry went over my head Not really changing topics since it's kind of related...but I saw AOL.com had the 10 worst decisions of the year...and one of them was Radiohead's choice to go w/o a label and do what they did with their album. I'd think you agree me when I say I loved what Radiohead did, if for any other reason than they took all of the control away from the record labels (where music becomes about money). And just the fact AOL can list this as one of the worst decisions of the year kinda tells you all you need to know about what kind of world we now live in...and it fuckin sucks

I love how the guy from fall out boy also says, "we have about 50 songs written, but only like 2 of them are good" that pretty much sums up the band, quantity not quality

Just when I thought FOB could not be a more humongous pile of $#!t, they decide to pretend they're Oasis, the greatest band in the world.

What i really hate is that the american culture and truly shocking taste of music is being accepted around the world. im still at high school here in good ol' new zealand and i get told that the music i listen to is crap (oasis beatles kasabian etc) when everyone else seems to be dressing like snoop dog and listening to utter shite. it genuinly pisses me off. i dont wanna grow up in a wannabe America. im sure some brits will feel the same as the uk charts lately have been full of chris brown and the like. its sad. im glad iv escaped from it and mum sat me down and put on the there and then dvd for me. otherwise i might just be another slave to these trends

Lancelot i feel exactly the same as you. A lot of my friends laugh at me for loving bands like Oasis,The Jam,The Beatles when they listen to Chris Brown and Kanye West, and whatever else is in the charts. It really pisses me off that they think they have to listen to and like it just because it's in the charts! And i agree with the comment about them following The Beatles

"But we're still working. We have, like, 50 new songs, and two of them are probably good."
