Did India do the right thing and suspend their cricket teams tour of Australia? Educate me please, since when is the word monkey offensive? Or were Australia (a bunch of sledgers) just complainimg because they are the kings of sledging

no
if what is aledged is true then it was racist and the player should be banned from international cricket for life.
as for india, again if the comments were made and they are refusing to play they should be kicked out of the international game for a year.

Educate me please, since when is the word monkey offensive? You seriously don't know if calling a black man 'a monkey' is offensive?

If Harbajan said what he said then he should obviously be banned. However he denies saying it and therefore the decision to ban him was made very hastily.
What's funny about this is the law that Australia have had to cite in order to get him banned. Basically the wording of it means every Australian since Merv Hughes should've been banned. The general moaning and arrogance of this Aussie team doesn't help either, it's been enough to turn a lot of their own press against them, especially the delightful Ricky Ponting.
