From wikipedia: "On December 26, 2007 Noel revealed on Russell Brand show that the recording sessions were finished on December 18. Now the band will have a Christmas break, and then they will mix the new songs in Los Angeles in 2008."
Is this true? Where can I get a hold of this show? I can't find it on the Russell Brand BBC site.

Who said anything about having an album out before summer? You know how they do it now. Finish an album, sit on it for 4 of 5 months, then release it. I wouldn't hold my breath.

They've been dropping that August 08 date as a possible release date. But I was simply stating it'd be pretty awesome if they were to get it all mixed and have it out before summer. This same rumor has been floating around over on the oasis forum at the Soapbox so there must be a little bit of truth to it.

It's from an interview with Liam. Of course, he probably has no idea when it will really be out. I'll bet it'll be sooner than August, but still not soon enough.

I'd quite like an August release... Don't Believe The Truth came out just before my exams...
A summer release would be wicked.. good summer tunes are essential to all drunken days down the pub!

That's true. But really, in the end, I want them as soon as possible! At least it would be nice to have a single early just to hold us over.

Well, if you wanna get technical, and I guess I do:
Time between HC and DBTT: 1064 days.
DBTT plus 1064 days: April 28, 2008
So it looks like this one might take them even LONGER than DBTT took them, regarding time between releases.
Plus, they've already released two records in the month of August. One in Feb, one in October, one in May, one in July. Time for a March release I would have thought!

I can't find it on the Russell Brand BBC site. I think he did say something like that, but I can't remember because I never take what Noel says seriously. HOWEVER........ If you go to the thread I started ages ago called 'Noel on Russel Brand last night', you can get a link to the BBC Radio 2 listen again link and catch the programme. Noel is on most Saturdays. Enjoy

I have to say it does annoy me when they take so long to do a record but if its really good then it will be worth the wait. For me personally DBTT was worth the wait as i think its a step up musically from HC. The songs are better and the drumming is spot on. Hope the next album will be the same!
if you look back at oasis recent release schedule its almost album every 3 years but they have tried to bridge the gap with other releases. we got lucky in 2000 with 2 releases!
2008 New studio album 2007 LDSMD DVD 2006 STC best of album 2005 DBTT Studio album 2004 Defienatly Maybe DVD 2003 2002 Heathen Chemistry Studio Album 2001 2000 SOTSOG and FTM Live Album and DVD

Yeah i know about the Tour of brotherly Love in the US, but i was talking about official releases. I do think tho that the Tour of Brotherly Love was a really good idea. Although they didn't have an album to promote the band just focused on the gigs without all the hype that follows the band.
