I would think the band would put at least one track on it from Be Here Now. The cover looks horrible. And I doubt that is the running order. I've been wrong once before though.

I would've assumed that Stand by Me would be on there, but then again, this is Noel that had a large say in this,
BTW: I'm not saying that this is true one way or another I'm just reporting another reported tracklisting

Oasis finally announce best of tracklisting 'Stop The Clocks' selections confirmed Oasis have finally confirmed the tracklisting for their forthcoming best of album.
The songs for 'Stop The Clocks', released on November 20, was selected by the band themselves and had previously been kept secret.
This led to much speculation as to what would appear on the album - and several incorrect lists emerged.
However, the group have now announced their true selections.
The 'Stop The Clocks' tracklisting is:
'Rock 'N' Roll Star' 'Some Might Say' 'Talk Tonight' 'Lyla' 'The Importance Of Being Idle' 'Wonderwall' 'Slide Away' 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' 'The Masterplan' 'Live Forever' 'Acquiesce' 'Supersonic' 'Half The World Away' 'Go Let It Out' 'Songbird' 'Morning Glory' 'Champagne Supernova' 'Don't Look Back In Anger'
The band are also set to release their first film, 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down', around the record's release.
For more information on the best of and the film see this week's NME, out nationwide from September 13.

5 out of 18 tracts are from mg and none from bhn That's shocking. NONE from BHN AND WHERE THE HELL IS STOP THE CLOCKS THE TRACK?! with all that hype, I hate to say that this is a slight dissapointment... however, new oasis stuff is still new oasis stuff, and thats good enough for me

That's what I want to know. I thought there was going to be 2 new songs on here! As long as Stop The Clocks is on there, I'll be happy. Very disappointed that there's nothing from BHN, but can't say I'm surprised since Noel seems to not remember that album to fondly. IS STOP THE CLOCKS ON THIS ALBUM, and why isn't it listed if this is the track listing?

...new oasis stuff is still new oasis stuff, and thats good enough for me Except there's no new Oasis stuff here at all. Why should I bother buying this? Most Oasis fans can burn their own "best of" double CD with a better (and longer) tracklisting. First Oasis CD I won't be buying I suppose - although I'm sure there will be some bloody version with a "bonus" CD or live track.

I would be slightly dissapointed with this 'best of' if this was still the days of Vinyl or Tape but now that we are in the digital age and not only can you make this 'best of' on your own, most people listen to music w/ ipods or on their computer through stereo so I don't even care about 'cover art' or the info inside.
We must remember however that this best of was NEVER wanted by the band at this time so I can see why Noel especially doesn't want to give SONY 'Stop The Clocks' the song to them.
Since Oasis had a Sony contract for albums does 'Whatever' fall under Sony's control since it was just a single?
I am sure a definitive best of that the band all wants will come out when it is all finally over, and that will be the defining Oasis best of album. Hopefully years from now after a few more studio albums.

The order is shit. Why the hell is DLBIA last? I mean, it's a fookin' mega song, but wouldn't it be proper to end with Liam singing?

told you the song STC wouldnt be on it....
it wouldnt make any sense
and thus, im still holding to my theory that this is a harbinger for things to come and STC will be put on the next real album

Despite my initial cynicism, I'm actually looking forward to this: great cover, great tracklist.
You could spend days arguing over the tracklist, but I think this is pretty much spot on. I think it's odd that 'The Masterplan' isn't on it, & I would have liked to see 'Little By Little' make it, but other than that, I'm happy. It does sum up Oasis & their music over the past 10 or so years.
I'm actually glad that there aren't any news songs on it - I always think it's a bit stupid having whoever decide that some arbitrary new song should belong on a 'greatest hits/ best of' album when the fans haven't actually heard it & it hasn't got the history that all the other songs have. Save 'Stop the Clocks' for something more suitable, like a new album.

Save 'Stop the Clocks' for something more suitable, like a new album. I agree that most of the tracks are excellent selections. The main exception is "Go Let it Out." Assuming that this tracklist was picked by Noel (and everything else seems to indicate that it was), WHY "Go Let it Out" over "Gas Panic!" which Noel has always called one of his best songs? I'm also baffled by the length and by the non-inclusion of ANYTHING from Be Here Now. Be Here Now, despite its flaws and despite its critical reputation, has several of their most popular songs. At the very least, DYKWIM and DGA should have been on there (Noel has even said he LIKES those two!). Perhaps Stand By Me or a nice 6-minute edit of All Around the World. Whatever ought to have been included, too, since it was one of their best singles and has never been released on an album. I could understand the stinginess if it were one-disc, but it's two. Why just 9 tracks per disc? It could easily have been 12 per disc and in chronological order: 1. Supersonic 2. Rock n' Roll Star 3. Live Forever 4. Cigarettes & Alcohol 5. Slide Away 6. Half the World Away 7. Whatever 8. Some Might Say 9. Talk Tonight 10. Acquiesce 11. Wonderwall 12. Champagne Supernova 1. Morning Glory 2. Don't Look Back in Anger 3. The Masterplan 4. D'You Know What I Mean? 5. Stand By Me 6. Don't Go Away 7. Gas Panic! 8. The Hindu Times 9. Songbird 10. The Importance of Being Idle 11. Lyla OR Let There Be Love 12. Cum on Feel the Noize (ends it on a high note)
