has retired for football due to onging injurys he has called it a day. One of my favourite United players ever, the Norweigen will play no more but is staying at the club. Saw him score six minutes into his debut at Old Trafford. He will go down in United folklore for his many a late goal deciding a match and not forgetting that goal v Bayern in the Champions League final. Tagged as super sub he was much more than that, loyal, played for the team, one of the best finishers around, great positioning, great memories and much much more. Will be missed dearly on the field. www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={B4CEE8FA-9A47-47BC-B069-3F7A2F35DB70}&newsid=466904www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~1100744,00.html

Gutted. Truly a United legend, and for much more than that goal.
One of the greatest signings Sir Alex ever made.

such a shame the end of his career was ruined by injuries, but still - a great player. A credit to the game
I remember being really pleased for him last season when he finally came back and scored a few more - just a class player and person

apparently his knee problems started after he went sliding on them after he scored that winner in the champions league final. great player. yea that kept him out for a bit that celebration and lead to further problems. I don't care if ya support Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. there is no denying how much an impact this player has caused over the last decade, you have to applaud his contribution to the game. Ranks along side Zola where ya, no matter how much ya hate the club they play for, have to stand up and say "that lad is a fucking legend", no two ays about it! love him to bits, remember being in a taxi coming back from an ireland game the day cantona announced his retirement, that was 10 years ago. No doubt in 10 years I'll remember being on a lunch break in work when Ollie announced his.
