Spain got off to a fast start up 2-0 at the half goals coming from Xabi Alonso in the 13th minute and David Villa scoring in the 17th.

first peno of the competion tucked away for Spain, a very harsh desision against the Ukraine defender who was shown red.
Villa can't complete his hat-trick, Raul is coming on for him now.

Anyway Spain is great, with or without Raul Why didn't he play? It was a coach's choice. He entered the field at 55th minute

It was a coach's choice. He entered the field at 55th minute Strange - after this result it's gonna be tough to get into the starting formation for him

tipped Ukraine to do well, but in 30 degree heat it would always be hard for them against the Spanirds, but i didn't expect that score line

you have a very different vision of raul than the one we have in spain. if you have seen him game after game these last years then you would understand why he isnt in the starting formation. anyway we've played an excellent match and im starting to believe that we can do something this time.
