I disagree. It's a great squad. Too bad you're gonna get out on the round of 16 against Brazil.

I think it's a good team, but I'm suprised, that Iaquinta will go to Germany instead of Lucarelli.

No one expected Lucarelli to be in the squad, so it's not a surprise. Anyway, we have many bigger problems at the moment, and you know what I'm talking about.....

No one expected Lucarelli to be in the squad, so it's not a surprise. In the last three seasons he scored 72 goals - why is it, that he only played twice for Italy - had he problems with the coaches?

This is the way things go in Italy. If a player doesn't play in a great squad like Milan, Juve or Inter, it's very difficult for him to reach the national team. Lippi convocated Iaquinta because he really trusts in him, I have not the same opinion (I prefer Lucarelli)

I don' think it's a political attitude matter (our 3rd goalkeeper is Livorno's Amelia). In my opinion Lippi choosed to convocate players experienced in international competitions. This is why he put in the list that fuckin' legs-breaker called Materazzi (not more than an average player): he plays in a great team... Beside this, Lucarelli often spoke against Italian football system in the past, so Italian Football Federation should not consider him so well...

Probably, this will be the starting lineup (4 - 3 - 1 - 2)
Buffon
Zambrotta Cannavaro (C) Nesta Grosso
Camoranesi Pirlo Gattuso
Totti
Gilardino Toni

And I like Lucarelli (even if I'm from Pisa!) more than Iaquinta!Anyway I trust Lippi a lot, and I think he had his good reason to do it! I just hope to see great things! Come on Italy!!!!
