sitting in the parking lot with my laptop. the line was about 100 people strong an hour ago. now we have maybe 200 people here. i have my tickets in will call which is total shit and they havent even opened the ticket booth up. ok now the important things. the backdoor to the venue was open and luckily i got lost and was able to catch the soundcheck. the songs had a very tinny, skimmed down sound to them, different than any way i have heard him do his songs. i havent heard the toronto gig but i guess it was probably simmilar. way better than the aol podcast which was also great. fuck.. mad fer it. they also just played an interview with him over the pa with jonesy from the pistols. what else... they just let everyone know that no professional cameras are allowed and that noel might come out to do autographs and doesnt want flashes. sounds like a load of shit but who knows. have to get back in line now. mad fer it

just got back from the greatest gig ever performed. gem was flawless and noel was beyond flawless. simply perfect. and hilarious. the best was listen up and its good to be free and importance of being idle. but every song was perfect. i hope it will show up on the internet sometime soon because it had to be one of the best oasis gigs ever.
movie was great too. liam was at his best and it was shot really well. in the end credits we were able to hear the full version of "Lord Dont Slow Me Down" which was really good but nothing that special. if youve heard the minute of it from the trailer then youve basically heard the whole song. great song nonetheless.
i didnt think it was possible, but im an even bigger oasis fan than i was before.

great gig, liked the film, it was pretty short. 50 min or so.
a ton of ppl got FUCKED outside, not getting tickets i know they were promised. i have a feeling we'll be hearing from them shortly. i heard like 50-60 ppl who were promised tickets at El Rey got zero. fucking bullshit.

total bullshit. i, along with a lot of others, had tickets through the el rey list and everyone, along with some people who won them through the website, were kept in the line for will call for over 2 hours without any explanation. Then after seeing everyone else go in we were all told that there were no seats for us and were asked to leave the theater property as if we were trespassers! a lot of people left at that point disheartedned. those who stayed were told that there was a slim chance we could get in after the film but no promises. no one had any explanation or answers. One of the theater staff who was walking up and down the line with a megaphone/bullhorn was telling us we would get in but we would have to wait a little while, and then suddenly came out and told us we had to leave because there was no space. Anyone who approaced him was greeting with snide comments and nearly hostile threats, i thought at one point he was going to hit a guy who just asked him what was going on. then another lady came out and said we had no right to complain because we were given the tickets for free. complete shambles and lots and lots and lots of complaints will be rolling in to the theater and promoter tomorrow i'm sure...........

That sounds like absolute bullshit. Everyone who was promised tickets but did not get in should file a joint suit against the promoter (assuming you have proof you were promised tickets). If this were a band that really cared about their fans, they would have played an acoustic song or two in the parking lot so it's fair for everyone (a la Pearl Jam).

sorry to hear that, seems like they should of picked a theatre twice as large like NYC or Toronto and it would have been perfect....a shame

That fuckin security guy with the megaphone was an asshole! These are the things he told us; IF you bring in a camera; you're going to jail if you bring in a big purse; you're going to jail if you smoke 400ft to close to the building; youre going to jail if you drink alch; youre going to jail if you have a recording device; youre going to jail He told me to watch my language as I exchange words in a private conv. with a band roadie, he said, if he has to talk to me again, he would kick me out and cart me off to jail. I asked him why he was in a bad mood, he said because he was made to come into work 2hrs early, so I told his $10.75hr ass, "you shouldnt take out your anger on people that have done nothing to you, were just hear to have a good time, were not harming anyone or being unrly" and he said, "you wanna go to jail?" WTF?

That guy was a complete a** hole. I was getting something from the car and he saw that we had an icechest tucked away and insisted that I dump the contents or it was a 1000 dollar fine and/or jail. I asked if the stuff remained unopened. Still, I had to dump it. Stellas and Boddingtons in the trash can.

the hard part about this is you dont know if it was the radio station, website or theatre that is to blame. i would complain to all three. not to mention sony, thats the worst thing ive ever seen in all the years of attending events.

What a mess that was, I mean, dude, Im sooo greatful for the gig but, it was just all out of sorts, fucking hells angels kinda left me with a bad taste with his behavior, telling us no cameras you will be padded search and wanded with a metal detector, fuck man, as the 3 entrances opend everybody made a mad dash kinda fucking the fans, me and my buds, that turned up since like 1pm!!! I get inside and there was no searching, nothing, some fans had digis, I left mine in the car cos, that fuckhead told me if I bourght my camera, Id go to jail. I can laugh about it now but, at the time it was terrible, but, that punkass bitch threatend me with "you're going to jail" about 8xs.

sounds like this bullhorn/megaphone guy was bang out of order.
Best thing is though, when realising we'd never get in, i went up to him as i was leaving and told him i thank you for being so calm and coping well with so many problems (!). the dude actually thought i was serious, and i casually asked him his name which he duly obliged. He also had his name on his jacket and said he worked for the Veterans Association.
The dude pretty much told me everything i needed to know to complain about him today!!!

all the bullshit could have been avoided if u came at 7 instead of 7:45 like idiots. especially since it was general admission. and what is this joint-suit bullshit. it was a free-show and u missed ur chance to get in.

Most people were in plenty of time - i was there at 6 - it was the fact that those who got their tickets through the El Rey list and the Oasisinet offer were told that their name was on the list at will call but in fact we were basically, seat fillers in case some people didn't show up. Nothing to do with what time we showed up.

yeah, bro, a lot of folks that won through that mess of inet/pick up at El Rey contest did get hard tix but, a lot of fans showed up nice and early at El Rey, El Rey had no notification of the email inet sent out, so they took the email address of the fans, fans then got an email from inet saying there would be tix at will call day of gig. Day of gig- NO FUCKING TIX!!!!!

That was sad to see so many fans get screwed. But at least the fans who did have extra tickets gave them away to those who needed them, mostly for free.
I uploaded my iPod recording of the LA gig in the downloads section.
Oh yeah, congratulations to those who made an appearance in the film.
