Okay so it's now 210 to 222 - so they're catching up. Hardly any one is putting up a reply here, but I see it has been read 31 times so far - I'm assuming everyone who has read it will have voted even if they have nothing to say??? C'mone guys!! Can't have Rum DMC beating our boys!!

I'm happy that they beat Run DMC and I think they have a good shot at winning the next round against Cake or Dave Mathews.
The round after that could be real tough as they would be going up against the winner of a group that includeds Neil Young, the Velvet Underground and the Stones.
We, on this site, definately helped Oasis get past this round but I wish some of the guys (who i presume are from here) who posted on their response thread would have been a little less sophmoric (esp with the homophobic and immature comments).
There were a lot of comments from people who love Tupac, NIN, and even Journey but none of them took the cheap swipes that the oasis fans did.
As a result many of the other music fans who responded to the thread made fun of the pro-oasis responders and by association Oasis fans as a community.
When you make the immature and ignorant comments you just perpetuate the stereotype.
As a lover of Oasis since DM, I hate the look I get from people when I cite them as my favourite current band...in general, people have this image of oasis as lager-drinking, brotherly fighting hooligans...
I say we vote in silence...
after all the music is fucking awesome...
let it do the talking.
