The band played their final date of the world tour on Friday, in Mexico City and played to a sold out 17,000 strong crowd! Oasis have been on the road now since 10th May 2005 when the band played their first gig of this current tour at the London Astoria. The band have visited 26 countries, played 110 shows and played to 1.7 million people this past year and would like to send out a big thanks to all the fans for their loyal support and hope they enjoyed the shows as much as they did!

that'd make more than 15.000 people per gig.... not too bad.. still a way to go to be the biggest again.. if this is still a goal for the brothers.
anyway, "thank you for the music" and have a nice holiday, lads

That was a really great tour all things considered... no bust-ups, no walk-offs, no cancellations not due to major weather catastrophes, and the music held up damn well... Liam sounded as good at the end as he did at the beginning. They played some really big shows over here too -- great venues like the Hollywood Bowl and MSG. The new stuff played well, the old stuff played well.
For anyone who didn't believe it already, they've reestablished themselves as the reigning kings of British rock.

And based on what the average fan spends at a gig, the lads have probably just made the best part of £100 million for less than a years work.
If only a tenth of that goes into their pockets they're fucking laughing.
