The opening band Vaquero was actually pretty good, and they got lot of support from the audience. They even played one song from their previous band called Zurdok, good stuff actually...one song was pretty lame though. But strong set all around.
Anyway, they left the stage and 30 minutes later the lights go out and the people goes nuts, then FITB kicks in and the audience goes insane...then the boys come on stage and start with their set.
Noel's way to say hello is by saying ''buenas tardes'' which shows he doesn't speak spanish at all ;D - cool gesture nonetheless
...
When they were playing TIOBI, Noel stoped playing as soon as he started to sing cos he couldn't hear himself cos everyone was singing out loud....then, they turned up a bit and started over....at the end of the song, Noel said something like: ''you're really loud, I couldn't even hear myself....but that's a good thing''
And The Masterplan was just glorious, everyone singing at the top of their lungs...with their lighters and cell phones on...the whole place looked fantastic with the red/blue lights coming from those things.
My biggest concern before the show was Liam's voice, fortunately he was fantastic! I really wasn't expecting much - he actually sang, didn't bark the last part of each verse or anything. And he was in quite a good mood...dancing and sort of hopping, inviting the audience to clap to the rhythm of certain songs, his usual staring-at the-audience thing, etc...They had to repeat the intro to ABWR cos he missed to sing on time, he was about to sign someone's WTSMG LP and then he said something to the people on the right side (his left) of the venue.
Live Forever and Wonderwall were awesome, but Champagne Supernova was beyond that. Pure class.
And DLBIA was the best thing of the night to me. Just fantastic, Noel let the audience sing the first time the chorus goes.
My Generation was crazy. At the end they left the stage and LTBL starts playing over the PA...lots (more than half) of people stayed and started to sing till the song was over...then the lights go out again, everyone cheers but then the roadies and the lights come up. Too bad ;D
And that's pretty much all I can remember now
, it was fuckin' perfect.
