Hey, Noel just finished an interview with a radio station here..this is pretty much all I can remember:
First, he was in a really good mood, jokin' around and all...they asked him how does he feel about the gig ending tonight, he said he was really happy and was eager to go home, rest, write a few songs and watch England win the world cup ;D - then he joked about Man City winning as well...
They asked him, how does he like it here, he said he's come several times on holidays (Baja, Cabo San Lucas), he said that his girlfriend speaks spanish (I didn't know that), likes the fact people is so relaxed here (except in Mexico city where they're kinda crazy)
Also mentioned the fact that he's seen lots of mexican fans on this tour, he found that weird as they're plying here, so why travel somewhere else?
About ''Lord Don't Slow Me Down'' he said is going to be a 2 hour documentary about the tour...it looks like the LTBL video, except that is not slow motion - he joked....when they asked him what was his favorite song he said it was DLBIA, it has a life on it's own and has become bigger than Wonderwall and he still loves playing it live.
They mentioned it was surprising the fact that DBTT gained them many new fans and how the album has made a connection with a whole new generation, he was surprised by it as well...said he find it weird lookin' so many young people at their shows now...16 year olds and all, and how he's old enough to be their father and he was sort of uncomfrotable with that situation, though he's getting used to it...and he loves DBTT, he thinks TIOBI (fave off the album)is an hymn and he'll keep playing that song till he's on a wheelchair.
They said it was funny the success of this new album here to the point that they sold out the show really fast, cos with the SOTSOG tour they didn't sell out the venue - and he was like ''really? that's outrage!!'' ;D
They asked him about ''The Boy With Th Blues'', he said it was a left off from DBTT cos they wanted it to be better, then they were going to make it an ep but ditched the idea, they'll work a bit more on it and most probably it'll be included on the next album, he said that it truly is a great great song.
About his record company he said they'll release a new album by a band called 'The Shack' I think - he says they're great....they talked a little bit about The La's, he said they're one of the greatest bands ever and it's a shame they won't release another record.
About Zak, he's not an official member yet...he'll go on tour with the Who, he wants Zak to join but he won't put him on the spot and make him choose.
About DM, he still loves it, many great songs, the sound is still fresh and for that album alone he should be considered a genius and then he started to laugh a bit.
About the show tonight, they won't play SCYHO (thank God cos I don't like that one
) and they won't play LTBL either (shame), they asked him if it was true he wrote that song for his daughter he said not, it wasn't written to anyone in particular.
It was time to say goodbye, they were gonna leave with LLAB but he said he'd rather listen TMOS, and then he left saying ''Hasta luego''
Well that's pretty much all I can remember, he was great, joked a lot - can't remember much of those jokes cos my memory span is that small!
If I can remember anything else I'll post it - I'll post my views of the show later!!
