what a freaking tremendous show! the crowd was WAY into it and noel even let us sing the chorus! i expected liam's voice to be bad from what i've read but nothing could be further from the truth. aka - don't believe the truth. my brother in law, who's never seen the band and wasn't a fan, called liam the "quintessential lead singer - he's perfect!". it's true, the sound at the ryman was awesome and noel even commented on the ryman's rich history when he said - "they have to call us great now that we've played here." they seemed very engaged with the crowd and joked around with each other throughout the set. masterplan sounded absolutely spiritual at times. noel said that they would "definately" be back to nashville next tour - i think they were even surprised by the following in music city. what a great time, what a great show, what a great band. my tank is full for awhile now!

one disappointment - no supersonic - they played cigs and alcohol instead and it tore the roof off
songbird was played too.
liam acted like he was going to grab gem's ass one time, quite funny

Anyone catch any of what the band said? Other than the dedication of wonderwall to the ugly girls I didnt understand much of anything else. maybe it was because I was kinda close but it was harder than usual for me to make out what the guys were saying in between songs. anybody catch any of what they said?
Oh, anyone get any video from the show? If so, I would LOVE to see it. Thanks!

Noel at one point said that he couldn't understand Liam because his mouth was full of sh*t, and yeah, there was the bit about the ugly girls getting Wonderwall dedicated to them! Also, Noel said that now the Ryman can officially say that all the greatest bands have played there after that night True that!!! Did anyone see Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman?? They were up on the balcony but left after Rock n' Roll Star. I also desperately wanted one of those awesome silk screened posters but they sold out uber quickly

Noel didnt tell Liam that his mouth was full of shit. He was talking to the guy in front of me who was heckling Noel the whole show - just trying to get a reaction.

That's what I thought too that he was talking to someone up front, (I was in the balcony). I know he mentioned Johnny Cash as one the greats and asked if Nashville was so quiet that day because everyone was in church.

really happy the lads and the crowd were mad ferrit ! I had a gut the nashville show wld be "one of a kind.. "
the masterplan is indeed spiritual.. it transcends the 5 senses ! indeed !
as for your relative , tell him we said "welcome to the church of oasis ! " amen brothers and sisters !

Noel: "The Ryman...Greats have played here...Johnny Cash...Jerry Lee Lewis....Hoobastank!"
you've gotta love his dry humor

I was in the front row 2 people away from that guy, the guy was telling Noel he loved him the entire time. Noel sarcastically lipped "do you? oh come on. okaaaaay" and then sarcastically smiled. It was hilarious in the front row this time.

Sorry I missed it--we couldn't get tickets for the right price. I did see them last year in Atlanta. By all accounts so far, the Ryman show sounds like a winner. What was the setlist?

The Nashville show was the best one I have seen on this tour. I also attended Detroit, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. The Ryman is a great place to see a show. I had to get tickets from a ticket broker but it was well worth the price! The only down side is I didn't get an Oasis at the Ryman poster. The posters had sold out.

Still talking about this show. First Oasis show, but definitely not the last. I was concerned about that the "Ryman Rules" of sitting throughout the show would not apply to this show, and I'm glad that it didn't. There was such a great energy at this show, and I hope a recording of it makes it way out soon!

I was at the Nashville show as well. It was the best concert I have ever been to. It beat the Coldplay concert at the Ryman by a mile and I loved that one. My girlfriend laughed at all of the guys yelling "Liam!!" I told her it wasn't gay, it's like being at Yankee Stadium and you're chanting for Derek Jeter to knock in the winning run with two outs in the ninth. They are completely hilarious. It's rare that you see a band like that with such cool senses of humor. They seem like people you could sit down and have a beer with. The ones who think they're arrogant just don't get them. That makes it even more hilarious. I think they are going to last a long time. The music keeps getting better.
