Noel didn't want Let there be love on Don't believe the truth to begin with. That song was Dave Sardy's choice. It's probably just not one of noel's favourites.

A) liam can't sing it B) noel doesn't want to do it alone/there are other 'noel' songs that can be done on the set instead

yea, i think he's just not much on it. he said he didn't want it on the album because it's a "flag-waiver." and eventhough it's pretty new to us....it's really old to him and doesn't seem like it would be that great live eventhough i would love to hear it.
- cheers !

case and point... the still play Bring It On Down at like every show they do. Oasis has ALOT of ballads, but they play their rockier stuff live. Acquiesce is a frickin b-side from 10 years ago and they still play it every gig. Thank god they don't do ballads live.

agreed ballads are boring live. i mean epics are one thing like champagne supernova and stop crying your heart out. but i thinl et there be love is just a lovely album track i think its a crap single and wouldnt be amazing live.

I honestly don't think SCYHO translates well into a live song. Unless there's a full orchestra up there it just sound like something is missing. The Masterplan is great. That is a great live anthemic tune.
