Just read the Korea story about the boys there.
Story quote: "Oasis made a strong come back with ``Don’t Believe the Truth’’ in June, 2005. The album sold over 40 million copies worldwide and proved that Oasis was still together."
I think it's a typo. Has to be more like 4 million.
Meanwhile, there's another typo at the end of the story, saying they are wrapping the tour in May.
Also noted Noel's "long holiday" reference after March 31. So I'm assuming that quashes the Spike Island and Hyde Park rumors.
Too bad there were no forum members at the press conference to ask about those shows directly!

I'm sure there's a problem with translation cos it should be more like Oasis have sold 40 million records worlwide. that's counting all of their albums.... I wonder how long is "very long" for Noel... probably 6-8 months? I hope it's not longer than that

I think they need a little break, they have been touring for awhile. I'd like to see some sort of ep and/or live disc/dvd before the end of the year though.

I agree that it might be in the translation. Good point.
They do really need a break. I hope they go back to a harder sound - but that said, I think DBTT was a nice departure. I'm still enjoying it almost a year later. Can't say that for HC or SOTSOG - tho there are some highlights in there.
BTW, anyone notice that All Around The World is the #3 download for the band's site on ITunes - thank you AT & T!
That radio spot plays it seems 3-4 times an hour on every station. Amazing the exposure they're getting, especially considering how much they got paid for it and how much Noel (unjustifiably) hates the song.
One more reason Oasis is the most underrated band in the world. All the sold out U.S. shows coming up speak to that!

40million is total album sales since Definitely maybe.
