Dude they suck big fat dirty ol balls! I saw them do their first ever L.A. gig and there's NOTHING special bout them. Its like watching any old fuckin flavor of the month band in the UK. Drummers got hella acne as does the singer and every song sounds the same.
the crowd and I were not impressed.
I'll be at the bar during their set.

"Fake Tales of San Francisco" is one of the best songs I've heard from the new crop of UK "It" bands. Looking forward to the U.S release of their debut album next month. |

I'd wager the crowd wasn't all that into the LA show because it was full of record execs. much like their recent NY shows.

Acutally no, there wasnt really any record comp exc. it was at at dump called spaceland, record comp excs only turn up when you do the strip.
Like Noel said theres NO band in the UK trying to make it big, and I know a lot of you like them but, mark my words, come Dec. 2006/Feb 2007 it'll be like "Arctic Monkeys who?
And yes, Oasis were flavors of the month once aswell but, they had the attitude and right cosmic dynamics that makes a band stand out, and the fuckin arctic chimps dont have it.

Step out, I believe I ave. I said ALL their songs sound the same. Their lyrics are shit and they dont dress cool. PLUS there stage pressence is just not, it just not there they did not create any excitment. The crowd just stood there holding a fucking cat in their arms. It was a boring gig. My opinion stands FIRM, they'll be forgotten by the end of the year beginging of '07. Look at the fucken Cooper Temple Clause (CTC) fuck are they at now? End of~ |

They're just starting out as it is. I'm not high on them, like all the so-called great new bands, but we'll see March 20.
Another underwhelming band IMHO - and I may get flack for this - is The Coral. Everyone seems to LOVE them, and they sound like just another soft-rock Britpop band. A poor-man's Doves. I've seen them in person twice and listen to dozens of their songs and I just don't get it.
All this really makes me appreciate Oasis all the more. Their catalog is just fucking amazing. It goes on and on. Their worst songs are better than what's on the radio everywhere right now.

It is getting past due for there to be another huge rock and roll band of the people, we all know that. God knows Oasis can't be the reigning king forever and the new generation needs a band to call their own. As much as it pains me I know this will happen, I mean it's been 12 years. However, speaking from the perspective of people in the States, I haven't talked to anyone that's been too impressed. The last next-big-thing the Libertines never caught on here either. Noel has been the first one to try and get the next big thing going, but no one has risen to the challenge (yet). When is the album being released in the US?
