NOEL GALLAGHER has issued a warning to Oasis fans - don't approach me unless you are well prepared.
The outspoken rocker, who plays the first of two sell-out gigs at Glasgow's SECC tonight, is fed up with numpties who accost him in the street.
He claims they rarely have pens for signatures and often struggle to operate a simple camera.
He ranted: "I don't like having my picture taken with them because half our fans are too dopey to use a camera.
"I've already wasted hours of my life on idiots with cameras in their hands who can't even work the flash.
"Then there are the ones that come you to you and say 'Can I have your autograph?' You say 'Yeah, go on then', then you get 'I haven't gota pen.' Well, you know, that's like turning up for a football match with no boots."
The 38-year-old added: "I do get upset when people give me bus tickets to sign.
"I don't mind album covers, but if you're gonna come up with a bit of fag packet and ask me to sign it, I'll tell you to go and buy an album."
Noel laid into his fans during a chat with Northsound 1 DJ Al Lorraine, ahead of the group's gig at Aberdeen's AECC on Monday. And he draws a very clear line between himself and the Oasis faithful.
He said: "We have this relationship where they buy the records and I make the records for them to buy. Do I want to be anybody's friend? Not really."
Noel confirmed Oasis's next single will be The Boy With The Blues, a song penned by brother Liam. But fans will have to wait until May to get their hands on it. He said: "We're going to try to do a one-off single, which is a track that was left over from these album sessions.
"If it doesn't get put out now, it probably won't go on the next one, but it's a great song."
Since ditching drummer Alan White, Oasis have added Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey to the band.Noel refused to compare the two, but, with a total lack of modesty boasted: "Honestly, I'm better than both of them."
#You can hear the full interview on The Sunday Session, 7-10pm, on Northsound 1, 96.9FM across the north east of Scotland."

I don't think there'll be another single off DBTT. it's a shame cos it has too many great songs, but it's also obvious that bar lyla there are no radio friendly songs. but still I find it a big mistake not releasing another single especially since they will be touring until march/april.... oh well whatever. still I'm happy with the new single confirmation. I bet it's a rocker

I wish they'd release TUTS personally! Or Mucky Fingers. Top songs!

I agree on MF and TUTS. This song better be good.
I don't agree with Noel that TUTS isn't single material. We all know that it isn't being released b/c Andy wrote it - but it's shite to open the show with it and showcase it like that and then not release it as a single. Makes no sense.
Mucky Fingers has grown on me like no other song on DBTT. POTQ is also single material, but I guess it's too much like TIOBI.
I think Noel might be doing this to ge a Liam song out there, and he thinks the song is better than the Liam songs on DBTT.

Hey, any new material is good news. I'll look forward to it! Woulda loved to seen ABWR as a single, but eh... whatever... its a great album and people who slag it won't know what they're missing.
I'll be damned, thats 800 and the 5th bottle. Think I'll make it 6 w/a Stella.

I can't see any more singles from DBTT if Boy With The Blues is the NEXT single and it wont even be out til May. Well if you listen to the full interview, Noel doesn't say it's the next single, nor does he say it'll be out in May, nor does he even confirm it's going to be a single at all, he just says they're going to try to do it. So as far as I'm concerned, that article is a pile of badly worded shit. Here's the interview www.savefile.com/projects.php?pid=260326

This has turned less into a discussion about the supposed new single, and more into a discussion of "What's your favorite DBTT song?"
Personally, I think that they need a big single. America is ripe for their pickings once again. With bands like Coldplay and U2 dominating the soft-alternative rock charts, Oasis could move right in if Sony and their other promotional companies would bother to take the time and effort to give them some more exposure. Hell, their concerts have sold out across the country... it's not like they're a waste of money.

KTDA is allegedly the next single in Canada, however that's canada and who cares about them... TBWTB is gonna be the next single most likely, released at the end of May

they might, because they will be able to rehearse it off the road before they go out again, along with LTBL - but i still don't think they'll play that, because i just think noel doesn't like it enough to play it live. as we've all heard, he was basically forced to put it on the album.
once out on the road, the only songs that change are noels, because liam wont do soundchecks.
