CHRISTMAS came early for 60,000 'mad-fer-it' Oasis fans in Cardiff last night.
They went wild as their idols Liam and Noel Gallagher took to the stage at the Millennium Stadium to headline the sell-out, one-off Noise & Confusion festival - their first appearance in the Welsh capital since December 1997.
The star-studded musical line-up for the exclusive all-dayer also featured US rock giants Foo Fighters, as well as UK favourites Razorlight, The Coral and rising band The Subways.
But there was no doubt that it was the Gallagher brothers - who'd interrupted a tour of Oz to play the spectacular show - who everybody had come to see. And Manchester's finest repaid the compliment by whipping up the capacity crowd into a frenzy with classics, demonstrating exactly why tickets for the gig sold out in two hours flat.
