According to Q magazine next month will be a special issue dedicated to John Lennon who would have turned 65 next month.
A free CD will be included featuring "exclusive" Lennon covers from the likes of Madonna, Razorlight, OASIS and more.
Can't remember a Lennon cover performed just by Oasis, they've collaborated on Lennon covers once or twice, but sounds like a new cover version. Fingers crossed!

Depends if you consider Help, All You Need Is Love or Tomorrow Never Knows as Lennon songs or Beatles songs. Would be nice to have a professional recording of Noel's covers of Help from the 98 BHN tour.

Oasis appeared on a Lennon tribute show around 4 years ago. Paul Weller was also on it. For one of the Weller songs they have both Alan and Steve White on drums. I cant remember which songs they performed!

I've got a horrible feeling they'll just stick on that cover of You've Got To Hide Your Love Away which was released over 10 years ago. It's never been released in the UK so it would be something of an exclusive. Hope I'm wrong.

I've always thought Oasis should do "Twist And Shout." Liam's voice is PERFECT for that song.

Noel and Gem did Tomorrow Never Knows and All You Need Is Love with Kelly Jones and a few others. has anybody got a copy of that? i'd really like to hear it It will probably be Hide Your Love Away, i doubt we're gonna hear anything new. To be honest i prefer the Session version of Hide Your Love Away where Paul slips and Breaks a glass before it starts to the one on Help. The guitar is a lot better as are the vocals am i the only one who likes Noel's version of it? I'd love to hear something i haven't already heard a million times before though.. Noel doing Hey Jude would be cool

It will almost certainly be something we have already heard :-(
"Exclusive" is a pretty broad term, after all. Like the NME's "exclusive" Oasis track the other week, which was just My Generation live. Not really got the same thrill to it as hearing a new cover (which I hope we do, but I doubt it).
