I only just saw their 'review' of the importance of being Idle
"A Sky Sports minion approaches Liam and slaps a hand on his shoulder. “Liam, great work! One more thing. You know in the ad where we make it look like Thierry Henry is playing the harmonica in ‘The Meaning Of Soul’? Would you hoof this ball into the crowd – football on Sky Sports and all that? Extra three grand?” Liam ponders: “Alright.” And so the Oasis we once loved, die. What does this sound like? Who cares? "
How the hell dare they... I love this song and the video. They dont even do it the justice of talking about it... Is this a fu*kin joke?? The rabbit on about an advert, the death of a band who have just been reborn in the music industry and have enjoyed the success they deserve again and NME dont even do Oasis the justice of mentioning the music. You know, the thing a band is all about.
NME should, frankly piss off, they milked oasis before the album, now this. pfff. Their views highlight just how out of touch they are both with music fans and the industry today which is falling back in love with Oasis, they need to rething their mag, sack their amatureish reviewers and get someone in proffessional enuf to comment on the Music or their mag will die.
Do they think its big or clever to be a cheerleader to the 'anti-oasis lobby' that has been so loud over the past few years and quashed so gloriously by this album? They have been Reduced to just a few desperate idiots clinging on to warn out, old insults
I could handle a bad review based on the actual song, but this is bull
Long live Oasis.

I wouldn't care if they were consistent. but they said HC was great, and DBTT is so much better but now they decide to take the piss out of oasis. without even mentioning the songs.

I think anyone that reads it, now knows the game they're playing. They depend on Oasis heavily, but don't want to seem beholden. It's really sad, I feel sorry for the people working there.
They have no impact on the boys anymore. At least I'd like to think Noel doesn't care anymore. I know Liam could care less - as always.

They have no impact on the boys anymore. At least I'd like to think Noel doesn't care anymore. I know Liam could care less - as always. Let me begin with a The only time I ever buy the NME is when Oasis is on the front - the recent one can with a free CD where Noel chose the tracklisting. They absolutely licked Oasis' arse, then when it came to the TIOBI review, they slated it... that's pretty low. Interesting tit-bit for you all - the next week's edition had The Pixies on the front and a review of the Oasis gig at the V Festival There is a piccie of the crowd - unfortunately I've been blocked out by the security guard on the left hand side ... ... but in the middle of the piccie there is a kid with a black beanie (wolly hat) on his head. During The Streets gig, you know how the security guards hand out water? He took a cup and tried to throw it backwards. Except he fucked up his throw and it hit me right in the face! I took my cup of water and threw it back in his after his half-arsed apology. I'm just a ball of anger! ;D
