I don't usually post here, just usually read all the posts. But anyway, The Toronto Star today had a run down of the best things of summer, and the Oasis show on June 17th was deemed the best concert of the summer, with a large picture of the show. Here's what it said:

"Given all that might have gone wrong at an Oasis show - fraternal fistfights, collective inebriation, Liam disappearing from the stage and heckling his bandmates from the crowd - the fact that the Mancunians managed to get through its June 17th gig at the Molson Ampitheatre without apparent incident was something of an accomplishment in itself. Afterall, less than a week earlier, guitarist Noel Gallagher had to hold down the fort at an Italian appearance, after notoriously volatile sibling Liam departed without warning before the end of the set. True, Liam did vanish for short stretches of the Toronto show too - prompting shouts from sections of the audience of "Come back Liam! Come back Liam!" And he did. Repeatedly. The show here, no small credit to Noel's fierce playing was a forceful unabashed display of rock star heroics. Even more impressive, songs from the band's current disc 'Don't Believe the Truth,' were as well received as fan favourites from a decade ago."

The caption under the live picture says "Andy bell, left backs Liam Gallagher as Oasis delivers at the Molson Amphitheatre in June. No walkouts, no inebriated incompetence - for once, they were simply a great band."

Obviously the reviewer was playing up to stereotypes of past problems of the band, but still pretty good to be named the best gig of the summer.

Later in the same section in the papparazi section, theres a picture of Liam and Nicole on holiday, with Nicole having some very large (new?) boobs.
