My first post here! My mate has pointed out these are the interview and songs has been posted on "Save File" - be a shame not to share it. Very good versions of TIOBI and Wonderwall as part of the package. www.savefile.com/projects.php?pid=714179I agree TUTS is the best song on the album and should be a single - but lets have both! D

I'm sure Let There Be Love will be released as a single... it's the kind of Oasis track that you expect the execs to promote....
But I can't agree that Turn Up The Sun is a single-worthy track....I don't think it compares to the Noel songs POTQ and TIOBI...

Yeah I think POTQ will be a future single too. I don't see TUTS as a 3rd or 4rth single. It's a real first song/single thing IMO.

But yes, it was announced a while back, actually, that Let There Be Love would be the next single.... whether this twat actually said it or not, isn't relevant. And by the way, could someone please move ALL of the threads with this subject line to the appropriate board? cpl4 has made this thread in several boards and I don't think we need more than one. ;D

You've got to remember what the singles are for. It's a very radio-friendly song which the passive listener will love. It's gonna be a great single. Perfect for the time of year as wel.
TUTS is a great track but no way is it a single. If you tune into a radio station a bit early or a bit late you'd never know who the song was by.

Whys everyone complaining about LTBL? I think its one of the best songs on the album. Great album finisher, just like CS.
It'll do well as a single

I'm holding my breath that KROQ and other important U.S. stations will get behind it. I don't think it is unreasonable to think that it might be the best-received single since WTSMG. But it is up to the stations. SCYHO could've been as well, but there was zero support. But I think the boys are now out of the dark ages here.
Lyla did good here, but LTBL should do better. LTBL could cross over to other radio formats as well. Like Wonderwall.
All that isn't based on the songs I like the best, it is what is most likely to be played.
The boys playing Inland Invasion for KROQ I would think would help the song get on the station's rotation. But they're still playing CS and WW and now ignoring Lyla, so who knows?
Also, I think LTBL will be added to the setlist for America in Sept. And I HOPE Supersonic will replace BIOD, not that I don't like BIOD, but that seems the logicial thing to do - in the way Noel does stuff.

I don't think LTBL will make a No. 1. It's too 'Beatles' - people will use it as an example of Oasis going back to the same old Fab Four stylings. Loads of it practically scream 'Free As A Bird'.
Plus for me, I think they fucked up the production on that song. I know Noel didn't want it to be a "flag waver", but in essence THAT'S WHAT IT IS. It cries out for some harmonising or call-and-response stuff on the final choruses (whereas as it is they only have Liam singing). Plus I'm not made on the Beatles-style mellotron strings, and that HUGE gap in the song toward the end will sound shit on the radio. After TIOBI took a positive, forward and DIFFERENT step for Oasis, LTBL will be seen as going backwards. The thing is I do actually like the song, but I think the final version of it is a disappointment.
