Ok I know a lot you are going to the Shoreline gig on Sunday the 11th. I have found a really cool place thats only 2miles away, its a really kick ass Irish Pub. They got a full bar and tons of Irish/British beer, PLUS the manager said if we get about 50-100 fans that will DEFINITELY show up he has an Oasis tribute band that will play for all the fans AND also have Oasis tunes playing throught our chillin out there. they got tons of Irish/Brit bar food too. As he warned the food at the gig is expensive and not of the best quality. There is NO cover to go. I thought it be cool to meet up with fans before the gig. I also found a cheesy billards place thats closer to the venue but, being that Oasis are Irish, I felt a Pub would be much cooler. Not only that the Irish manager, who is from Ireland said A LOT of bands pop in before a gig for a few drinks. Whos down?  ? St Stephen's Green Irish Pub.

Try and get there round 4:30/5pmUPDATE SEPT. 8TH 2005 I just spoek to Des, the manager and said there WILL BE AN OASIS DRINKS SPECIAL THAT DAY plus he gave us the heads up as there is plenty of parking, a street fair on Castro is taking place earlier during the day. He said make you way round Castro to the pub. Dont worry if you have a problem getting to the pub and your not fimiliar with the area call the pub 650-964-9151 and they'll sort you out with instructions. This guy is from Ireland and trully believes in pis.s ups before gigs. Make sure to stop by when you get to the pub and say "Hello" hes great. |

Where is the Irish pub?
I've got loads of friends going to the show and well, we are big partiers so this kind of sounds good. There is also a place called Brittania that is just a few miles away from the venue. I think they are transporting people over to the venue by bus.
We've got a bit of a drive to the venue so it might be a good idea to save the partying to a place near the venue.

The place is Steve Greens, manager there said loads of bar parking and only a 3min drive from the gigs venue. Said he'd have an Oasis cover band, Oasis tunes playing, and depending on the amount of Oasis fans turning up he might set a "oasis gig" drink specials all night.Said A LOT of bands that play the Shoreline pop in for the "last" or "first" drink before they go on or as they get out of the gig at his pub.
Dude we gotta spread the word, tell em watcha heard. Never been to Shoreline but, my buddy who grow up going to gigs at that venue says that he caught a gig there last year and beer was watered down and going for 8.50 on 12oz, burgers going for $7.00 and all you get is crap tasting one.

hEY Jilliam, Had to exalt your karma for coming up with this plan. Everything sounds great, I'll have about 3 to 4 with me all attending the Shoreline show. By the way, your buddy's right about food and drinks at the venue. First of all you wait in long lines for up to 45 minutes, meanwhile you're missing the opening acts, then you get ripped off with cost, and ripped off with the food and watered down beer as well. Great plan bud.

I'm going to the show as well and I think this sounds like a good idea. I was just at Shoreline last week for Ozzfest and it's all watered down expensive beer and long lines. Same with the food.

Well the manager at the pub said he was probly gonna do a drink special that day IF we get a good amount of Oasis to turn up at the bar before the gig. to be honest with you i'm going to the gigs but am too disgusted with the people who like oasis or british music in california. it's always the same twats who go to bang every week with their dumb hairdos and morose faces. i'm gettin a room nearby and will just drink myself into a frenzy by myself.

butterfly collector, I will be there shouting owaysis and I welcome you to try and lay a hand on me, the next time you see Oasis it will be on the TV in the hospital bedroom.
Anyway, the party sounds awesome and I will definitely be there. It's been 4 long years since I saw the band and I am really excited.

Im a cali native and LOVE British music, espc. Oasis. I however am not a BaNg attendee, I was more of a Cafe Blue person not prefer Club Underground. However due to work and a personal life I hardly ever attend. But, UNlike you a can appreciate the many diffrent aspects of britpop lovers in cali they're more open minded than mentaly challanged assholes LIKE YOU!
