Looks like somebody felt the urge to rat me out to the company that printed my Tshirts for me. Following is the email I received today and my products have been pulled from the store .......
We recently learned that your CafePress.com account contains material which may not be in compliance with our policies. Specifically, designing, manufacturing, marketing and/or selling products that may infringe the rights of a third party, including, copyrights (e.g., an image of a television cartoon character), trademarks (e.g., the logo of a company), "rights in gross" (e.g., the exclusive right of the U.S. Olympic Committee to use the "Olympic Rings"), and rights of privacy and publicity (e.g., a photo of a celebrity) are prohibited.
Accordingly, we have set the content that we believe to be questionable to "pending status" which disables said content from being displayed in your shop or purchased by the public.

whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves. i bet it was some asshole from the soapbox playing a practical joke. what could you have possibly done? did you steal a copyright?

received this as an explanation from them :

violate their right of publicity. As outlined in our Intellectual
Property Rights FAQs, the Right of Publicity makes it unlawful to use
another's identity for commercial advantage without permission. A person's
"identity" includes, for example, his/her look, voice, name, nickname,
professional name, and other distinctive characteristics. The Right of
Publicity prohibits you from using the picture of a celebrity on your
merchandise without authorization.

That's stupid. Would they shut your forum down coz it's dedicated to oasis? Fuck off. And copy is to produce same product as there has been released before. Is the band complaining about something about it? I highly doubt it.

One idea would be to possibly dedicate a thread and sell them directly, rather than going thru the cafe press site. Maybe people who wanted them could use paypal and pay you directly.

They did everything for me , might try getting in some sales on the site globefc recommends incase some of you would like a tshirt for the october gig.... |
