That is great that all the band is writing songs, cause now he doesnt need to put his fillers, and that the other guys songs are better than his fillers.
I think that Liam, Gem and Andy´s songs are in the level of noel songs in these album, not just better than his fillers. what do you think?

i think Noel's songs are the best on the album. Lyla being his weakest. but i could see an argument for andy's and gem's bein up to par. especially ABWR...arguably best on the album. but although Liam's are good....they aren't up to that level. but they are good fillers. i guess you could make a case for GGTIA. but i dont think there's a case for the other two.but i do like LLAB alot ! it always sticks in my head, lol.

a bell will ring, turn up the sun and keep the dream alive are my favourite songs on the album...not noel songs ooops.
the other members still have that anthemic feel good 90's buzz about their tunes whilst noels tunes are maturing weller-esque.

how can you say liam songs are fillers, LLAB and GGTIA are amazing tracks, GGTIA is my favorite track on the album with LTBL and the importance of being idle

GGTIA is so good. I love it. Meaning of soul is amazing too. Too short. I love the vibe from it though. Great track. LLAB is pretty good. I like it. It's not extraordinary, but it's a good tune.

GGTIA is the only track liam has that could be thrown up there. the other two are good...but their fillers nonetheless. which isn't anything against liam....it speaks volumes about how good the album is if anything. TMOS is ok....but they coulda put sumthin better on. but when u look at noel's songs both lyrically and musically, i just dont think the others compare. but that's my opinion. ABWR is really good...but gem only has one offering, unlike noel who has 5. but thats my opinion.
- cheers !

I think Meaning Of Soul is the only track on DBTT that could come CLOSE to being called a "filler"... Guess God Thinks I'm Abel is OUTSTANDING, I'm even gonna say it's BRILLIANT. A Bell Will Ring is OK, I'm gonna say "good", I never skip over it, but at this point it just doesn't do much for me, I know some people on here go ga-ga for it, and I can't understand why. Keep The Dream Alive blew me away the first time I heard it, it's the best song to be blasting when you're screaming down the highway at 80 MPH with the sunroof open, windows down... And as for Noel's songs, how can you say that Lyla is one of the weakest tracks on the album? Great chorous, great lyrics, great song.

Though Noel's songs are the most retracted sounding songs on the album, I think he's not better or worse, but just playing on an entirely different page, especially lyrics-wise. Noel, Gem, and Andy all seem to be bringin out amazing songs that are relatively similar. Although I must give a LOT of credit to Liam, as his tunes are so simplistic that by that virtue alone they are amazing

I don't know… It seems to me we've had this debate before. I think the other contributions are fine on DBTT, and if Noel feels less pressure because he doesn't have to come up with a whole album of killer tunes, then good for him. But I think his songs stand far above the rest on DBTT. I like "A Bell Will Ring" and "Keep the Dream Alive" (though I sometimes confuse them; they have a similar beat, similar tempo, similar "start sort of quiet and then explode" kinda structure… maybe it's just a problem with track sequencing), but in the mid 90s, when Oasis first came out, I got really into what was called "Noelrock" in the UK. I live in a small city/big town in the American midwest, so I picked up a lot of semi-obscure (and now vanished — the Gyres, anyone?) Oasis soundalikes on import CDs. And while I liked a lot of them and still listen to the albums, there is something missing. I feel the same way about many of the non-Noel songs on DBTT — yeah, they're fine (and all 3 of Liam's contributions are so much better than "Little James" and his stuff on HC that you'd think they were written by someone else), but they're just not quite there. Noel's songs just seem so immediate, even "Mucky Fingers," which is a very non-Oasis sounding song. I just feel I'm listening to a songwriter who really knows what he's doing.

^^^ i agree. i just think musically noel's are way up there. TIOBI, POTQ, MF, LTBL, AND Lyla. and i didnt say lyla was the weakest....i said it was Noel's weakest. which isn't sayin anything bad....it's just sayin it's the weakest out of 5 really good songs. i think liam's songs are really good...but ppl try and say it's better than noel's coz it's liam. GGTIA can hang up there....i can say it's better then lyla. but not better the other four. i guess when u see ppl like this argue about each individual song...it just shows how great the album is.
- cheers !

GGTIA for me is the second best track in the album, aftre TIOBI, although my point of view is that there are no fillers in these album. Noels are amazing, the best; but the other guys are right up there.

Noel, the man, the chief, my beloved, KNOWS HOW TO WRITE A POP TUNE. that song stuck in my head and my daughter's head for days after we heard it ! ya can't help but sing along to it ! ? it grew on me. as noel said "it is annoyingly catchy" BUT CERTAINLY NO 'Roll with it." peace,
