We are thinking of coming down from Boston. Can anyone suggest a place to stay.....hotel or town in general. I was thinking Marriot COurtyard in Columbia or an Econo Lodge in Elkridge. What would you suggest??? Thanks, TWICE

I'm comin from D.C., just curious, how far of a drive is it? I'm debating just getting a limo cause I've got about 8 friends from school that I know are going too...You'd think after 3 years of travelling back and forth between D.C. and NY I'd know how far Columbia is. Sadly, I'm a fool...

Any specific hotels? And....are there any bars/pubs in the area. We were not at MSG but were at Boston. We will probably find a liquor store, pack some booze into a bag, go back to our hotel room and do some pre-game drinking before taking a cab over to MPP. We will probably end up at Marriot Courtyard in Columbia. I can get 2 nights for $80 per night. Not bad for 4 people. Any other help would be great! Thanks, Twice

hotels are abundant and cheap in columbia, you'll have no trouble finding one downtown or around the area.
For the other guy: columbia is about 1 hr 30 min from dc in moderate traffic.
anybody else have lawn seats? i fucking love the lawn seats at the pavillion! this will be my 8th show there!

Not that I doubt you, but Mapquest says its only 38 miles from Bethesda. If thats the case, how could it be an hour and a half? Is Beltway traffic really that bad?! I mean I'll probly leave Bethesda at like 2 pm regardless, just curious...

beltway traffic is that bad
balt/dc has probably the worst traffic in the country outside NY or LA

hour and a half is a safe bet for the time, maybe and hour if you speed alot and get lucky with traffic

1:30-2 hours is worst case scenario coming from DC. 1 hour is with moderate traffic...Just get their early.
