1st up i would just like to say that zack is a breath of fresh air to the band.how can you compare him an alan?alan was a very technical drummer and had more different styles but at the end of the day oasis is a rock band and zack is the best rock drummer around.for christs sakes he was in the who!! and he was taught by keith moon, the gratest rock drummer of all time!!if zack had of drummed on heathen chemistry it would have brought a much better sound to it and would have brought life life to songs like better man and little by little.who needs fills all the time?? and he doesnt need to fuckin copy everything alan did or it would just sound the same constantly.who gives a fook if he doesnt drop in on the snare in wonderwall??alan was a great drummer dont get me wrong but he lost interest in the end.and for 1 my drummer in my band based himself round whitey and he agrees that zack is a fookin good drummer.so give the man a break!!!and alan is nowhere near as good on my generation for fucks sake people listen an stop talkin bout the past oasis.yes they were the legends i suppose but that s now gone. 2.dbtt the is a fookin great album but what are they palyin at singles wise? fair enough being idle is classic oasis an should be released but why not keep the dream alive or tuts? llab aint strong enough really.mos or ggtia if theyre gonna rrelease a liam song.but andy bell saved the album abit in my opinion.an why the fuck arent the record label promotin it.this had capabilities to be massive an get them up there in the states again but theyve fucked up.unless they will push it when they visit the states again cos they have a stronger single over there now in ltbl.i dont no it was all so promising then the label fuck it up!! just frustratin that shit like coldplay get the the promotion an it cant be reviews cos in the major mags oasis reviews pissed all over coldplays. anyways goodbye

I say who cares about the drummer period. As long as Noel and Liam stay together Oasis will always be incredible.
Secondly, you are right on about Keep the Dream Alive. By miles, it is the best song on DBTT. It would be the biggest marketing blunder ever if KTDA wasn't promoted in the Fall when Oasis return to America. They are sitting on gold with KTDA.

Keep the dream alive is alright, a bit long and boring though. With a few plays it gets ooold. Sounds like something off Be Here Now aswell.

The time for promoting anything to do with the album has long past, in my opinion... the album has been out for months now, they are back overseas and the horses are out of the barn... by the time they come back to the United States DBTT will be old news... but I do agree, pound for pound KTDA IS the best song off the album, along with GGTIA... too bad they won't play it live, it would ROCK, even with a subpar Liam vocal (which is why I think they're not playing it anyways)

Yar, I'm a fan of KTDA as it is by far Andy's best work, but my money is still on A Bell Will Ring. And it's interesting to hear that's what Gem said, cos seeing them play it live in Toronto, Noel seemed more onto that song that even Gem did, strangely. But not to stray from Vespa's original point: Zak does make the band. And I don't care for what Turnupthetruth said about nobody else mattering. I think it matters a lot. Look at how long it took for Gem and Andy to settle in with Liam, Noel, and Alan. Mind you Alan and Zak BOTH delved in and were instantly successful. I find that the band has an incredibly talented guitarist with Gem, and Andy is a solid bassist. Without them the band would be somewhere else, and who would know? Anyhow, I was trying to say that the rest of the band is a BIG DEAL.

I hope that after the tour he stays on, anyone hear any news on that? I heard that after the tour he's going back to The Who.
