Ok i just finished watching the Manchester broadcast from channel 4 on saturday, and i've come to the conclusion that the crowd at MK on the 9th were far better and more up for it than the Manchester crowd. Now at the Manchester gig i thought oasis sounded brilliant and played the crowd well, but to no avail. In stark contrast the MK bowl on the 9th (which i attended) was fucking bonkers, Oasis were the bollox, Zutons were brilliant, Weather was brilliant, Queueing for the beer wasn't, and finally the crowd were awesome. I also heard the MK bowl on the 10th was crazy aswell?, so my question is: Manchester where the hell were you and your atmosphere?
Anyone agree?

i was at MK on the 9th and it was fuckin mental, absolutely tops - how a gig should be.
i did notice as well tho, if u pay close attention to the manc crowd on the tv show, they were the nuts as well - it looks as if they were going as mad as at MK but i wasnt there so dunno - still looked immense tho!

i agree about MK. it was crazy. i've not seen the Manchester gig yet. (i live in hope!) If you go to www.uknova.com and sign up there, they've got the whole gig in torrent form and if you got a good connection it downloads well quick, Its also a brilliant site for all things uk tv (Brilliant for compiling your fave shows etc...) But i agree the MK 9th gig (and whole night was one of the maddest i've had) mental! doggboy

Couldn't quite make it out but he applauded a few times and said a few things. The difference for me was most notable on "A bell will ring" at manchester it was like a morgue during that tune but at MK it was one of my highlights, everyone singing it word for word. I get the feeling the majority of the manchester crowd (Can't comment on both nights just the one broadcast on CH4) was there to see the 90's oasis whereas MK 9th's crowd were up for anything, The crowd during The Zutons in itself was amazing. cheers doggboy

You cant grasp the mentalness of the crowd in manchester from the tv, trust me i was in the middle of it and it was crazy the crowd were loluder than ive ever heard them!
if you watched a televised version of the MK gig you would probably think the same, when your on the floor in the middle of it, it changes your whole view of the gig
any way lets not get it to... the gig i went to was better then the one you went to etc, every crowd they play to is well up for it and its always mad ;D...

I dunno, I think ABWR was pretty dead at MK too. The band played it great, of course, but the crowd didn't know it, at least where i was standing (next to crackheads, mind).
And Liam made a few cool comments about the crowd at MK tho...dedicating Morning Glory to "all the ginger heads" was pretty funny.

I weren't having ago just making an observation. doggboy

I'd agree with him on that. Anyone see that bloke about halfway from the front who had Liam sunglasses and a camo jacket with the zip done right up to his chin and his hands in his pocket?? Stood there from when the support bands were on till Oasis came on aswell. Didn't know how he could stand the heat.

I gotta say that MK 9th was the best I've seen them play. was an awesome day. Hammersmith in May rocked cos of the small size of the gig but MK beat that.
