every single review of saturday nights gig in manchester have said it was the best thing since maine road etc etc etc
i whole heartedly disagree, for a number of reasons. Firstly, not that it was the bands fault , they took at least 7/8 songs to recover from the gap during hte fixing of the barrier. secondly however and most importantly, and liam is definetly at fault here, when noel was telling the crowd "to go at a 9.5" and liam was saying no no fuck that and getting in noels face and basically nutting him, he ruined the gig for noel,who then refused to sing for the fans during morning glory and cigarettes and alcohol. liam is in no way at all cool for undermining noel like this. and anyway, the detrimental effect that had on the gig was much worse than a crowd going at 9.5. it isnt noels fault the barrier broke and he was told they had to calm down a bit. ive been at gigs before where theyve bin called off cos floors have broken (brmc leeds town hall) or barriers ahve broke (leeds festival) and id rather see them than have paid and travelled all day to just get 30 seconds of tuts and get told to leave.

its the 2nd out of 4 times ill be seeing them on this tour, the coronet gig was the best ive ever seen any band live, and im sure if you ask anybody who went to both a london club show and that shambles on saturday night theyll tell you which was better.

id really like to hear what you all think to this, i just dont reckon it was all it was built up to be.....
