Its not as cut and dry as you think, Coldplay are the bigger band these days, but Oasis still do better in the singles chart than Coldplay do. Don't forget the last Coldplay album had singles as well played as Clocks and The Scientist and NEITHER of them even got in the top 5 in the UK singles chart! In My Place entered at number 2 and then The Scientist got to about number 10. Clocks got to about number 7 or something. And every single off heathen Chemistry got in the top 5.
I agree with whoever said that neither of them will get to number 1!! My prediction would be number 2 to 4 for TIOBI and somewhere between 5 and 10 for Fix you.

If there is no strong competition from something like Crazy Frog or some vagina like 50 Cent, then TIOBI might make number 1. But I don't think Coldplay fans bother buying singles from looking at their past single sales.

Could you please rephrase your last post using proper grammer. I have no clue what you just tried to say.
You can't prove it wasn't a PR stunt just like I can't prove that it was. We each have our opinions only. If you have documented proof that confirms that it wasn't PR stunt, then you should post it here.
If I was stranded on an island for the rest of my life, I'd take any one random Oasis song with me rather than the complete works of Coldplay.
Dominic, I find some of your posts a little bit troubling. You claim to be a huge Oasis fan, yet you use this forum to promote pro Coldplay, pro Chris Martin bullshit. I have to seriously question your interest in Oasis. Quite frankly, I doubt some of your claims.

the both are brilliant songs, tiobi is the best song on dbtt, an excellent album, fix you is great, but not the best on x and y, the superior,classic album. fix you will easily take 1 in U.K. and id say 4 ish in the u.s. idle will get 2 in U.K. also easily, but wont chart here sadly.  there's no way it will make thhe |

strange veiw like, but i think IOBI could be in a way like why doe it always rain on my, a summer anthem if the waether is shite, and i think oasis will sell more, cuase everyone who likes coldplay will already have the ablum, and most of there fans are passive
