Philadelphia is a shithole. Almost missed the show because of constuction on I95 and the hotel (Comfort Inn) sucked. $176 dollars a night for a pull down bed. I thought the show was good but the Detroit show was much better. The crowd was mixed with wonderwall fans and die hard fans. I love Oasis but I'll never come back to the shithole aka Philadelphia.

I'm with ya there. I've seen 2 show there in the past months(U2 and Oasis), U2 I was GA and Philly obviously aswell. there were some cool people I met, but a majority were either offended by the fact I was singing along and trying to jump around a bit or they were annoying idiots (like the couple I spoke of earlier). It just amazes me that NY and Philly are an hour and a half away (or 4 and a half if you were on the I-95 on Saturday) and the people are so different. The only band I'll go back to Philly for is Oasis.

The problem I had is that most of the crowd just didn't seem to "get it". They weren't all that revved up, no huge applause as Noel did his solos, barely applauded before the encore, which Liam noted with "Nice to see we have 2 real fans....", and they just didn't seem to be all that into it other than in the front 10 rows of people. I think part of it was the setlist was really up and down in momentum. The band really had a few too many mid-tempo songs in there, would've done much better to get some uptempo stuff in there, whether known or not. I'm thinking of songs like Up In The Sky, Round Are Way, Street Fighting Man, etc. I will say Liam worked the crowd as well as he could've, but between that and the sound issues, I dunno. I'm getting the impression the sound issues in the first few songs are a result of Liam not showing up for soundchecks and the reason they don't turn it up louder is because Liam's mic is so loud to begin with, that if they turned the entire mix up anymore, it'd feedback a lot. That's my GUESS at least...But yeah, a faster tempo'd set and the band being louder (you couldn't even feel the bass drum, which was never the case at any of their other shows) would've helped. Great performance though, it was nice to see such an animated Liam.

I came from UK to watch them and I thought they were great. Couldn't get to the MSG show so can't compare.
Will tell you what I think when I get back on Saturday though in the homeland....they are going to be bang in form for that I reckon.
I wish we had arranged a proper meet like the MSG show.
Not sure I really like Philadelphia...great venue but shit crowd. A shame.

I thought the sound was terrible. Didnt ruin the show, but other shows I felt like I was engulfed with the sound and definitely didnt feel that on Saturday.
2nd time seeing them and it wasnt the transcendent experience of seeing them in Radio City Music Hall, but I doubt anything will match that.
Overall, it didnt meet my expectations. Could barely hear Noels guitar solos and when he was singing I could barely hear him half the time. Really bad venue I thought. I wouldnt go back.
Saying all that, it was a still a really good show and it did have the greatest line by any rock star that Ive heard.
"This is definitely the last one. After this, Im getting fucking wankered."
I died laughing at that one.

2nd time seeing them and it wasnt the transcendent experience of seeing them in Radio City Music Hall, but I doubt anything will match that. I thought both shows at Radio City were good but not great. First one was definitely better than the 2nd one they did with the Black Crowes...the setlist was shorter (I think they only played for an hour?). I felt so jipped.
