Just curious to what other think about the set list. I think it is a digrace to the true oasis fans (ones who do not go just to hear wonderwall) that they play 2.. maybe 3 songs from albums 3,4 and 5. (BHN, SOTSOG, HC) Of the 17 or so songs on the 2005 setlist, they can't pick a few others to mix things up and make it interesting. Throw in a Gas Panic or a Stand By Me or a Sunday Morning Call. I love liam's voice, but if Noel is forced to go on a solo tour.. we shoud get a different set list every night.

i'm glad there's no SOTSOG stuff on the set because it wouldn't really fit well with the other material. Also with BHN, many of the songs just don't translate to well live, but i do agree that their should be 1 song from it on there.
The stuff i want more from is the masterplan, tons of great tunes on there. Acquiesce, I Am the Walrus, Headshrinker, Fade Away etc. would all own live.

The setlist will change, with the releases of "LTBL" and "GGTIA" they'll have to drop a song or two.

the set is very good
You must understand, at every Oasis gig they are going to play LF, C&A, WW, DLBIA, CS. It's just a fact, they are the biggest hits.
They are also playing 7 new ones, a pretty generous amount considering it's their 6th album.
They also have some album tracks for the bigger fans, BIOD, MG
I do agree the set needs some tweaking, but overall it's very good.

I read what ya wrote. I see what ya mean... They cld throw us a bone here and there. However, the lads are so proud of their newest creation - DBTT. I for one had no complaints hearing that material at MSG ! ABWR ! MF ! LLAB etc. Fantastische ! Noel said they all had to agree on what songs to play and all had input. There is quite the growing list to chose from as time goes on... It also depended on Liam's memory ! haha ! I think Noel wanted to play is safe and keep it simple. to ensure consistency of the performance. this US tour means a lot.... RKid gets up there and it's like "Zen meditation" for him - the setlist... less chance of him getting annoyed. AND LOSING HIS VOICE. who knows ? Peace and LOve, Tam I cld be wrong...

your right but whoever said that if it was a tour without liam then the set list wud be different every night was right. we r talking about oasis here.. the biggest band in the world....so they shud be able to play a different set every night....they arent though are they? liam mite be a great frontman and all that but hes asthick as shit at remembering words and when people like myself go c em a lot we want different set lists and shud not be happy that they can be bothered to tour and to except wot they give us. wots goin on? too many fans give in to them just coz of wot theyve done in the past.....grow up u guys! i personally hate the current set list. noel says hes not playin supersonic coz hes bored of playing it....wot about dlbia? and live forever? christ??? and cigarettes & alcohol??? give me a break! im goin to milton keynes on 9th july and if they dont change the set list for that im gonna go ape. i reckon they shud ditch te bland love like a bomb and put in supersonic! oh and the cover is my generation....again!!!!! noel said on the webcast...if its a choice between that or a new song w will do a new one....bullshit!!! im not having a go at them im just telling everyone how it is.

I would love to hear; do you know what i mean, Don't go away, slide away, go let it out, Sunday morning call, and Scyho. I think they are definitely playing it safe right now. SInce it will be the forst time I will see them in concert in September, i also wish they could play supersonic and aquiesce.

It may sound korny but I think it's kinda cool they have so much shit to choose from that people start to bitch about the setlist. It really proves how fucking great oasis is.

i think there are good songs in the setlist, but the problem is that it barely changed if we compare to the last tour's setlist.... I mean check the other tours, apart from new songs, in the sotsog tour they added songs like Shakermaker, Step Out, Hey Hey My My and Rock´n´Roll Star.... for the HC tour they brought back Columbia, Morning Glory, She's Electric and My Generation... but for this tour which old songs did they brought back? Bring It On Down, which was played at Glastonbury in 2004 and THAT'S ALL!! I mean we as fans love to hear old songs that we haven't heard for a while... and I think that's the problem with the current set list... whan I'm downloading bootlegs I always pick the new songs and that's all cos' all the others are just the same as the last tours' bootlegs...

They didn't play rock 'n' roll star or champagne supernova on the HC tour, and they didn't do Wonderwall for the U.K. portion of that tour either.
so their's another 3 songs they added back

I aware of that, but my point is that it's not like we haven't heard those songs for ages... for example, I bet that the first time you saw the current set list you said "yeah, ok, WW RNRS and CS are back.." but c'mon, when we saw songs like Morning Glory, Columbia and She's Electric, we're all like "wooowwww, I can't believe this! fuckin' awsome!!"... see what I mean?

Well that's cause we're the fuckin biggest Oasis fans in the world probably and we follow the setlists on a daily basis.
To the more general Oasis fan, these sets do have that quality to them.
i showed my mate who's going to one of the september shows the setlist and he was fucking loving it that songs like rock 'n' roll star, morning glory, bring it on down etc were in the set. And he was also loving that all his favorite hits were there too.
Remember that a setlist is made for the more general fans, since they are mostly the one's at the concert. Therefore, their is only room for a couple of rare songs in the set for the diehards

Noel says no Supersonic or Acquiesce because they've been playing them for years... Here's a point, in some countries they're touring people havent had that many chances to see them, if at all. Would be nice to bring some of it back for places like Australia. Last time they were here they played Acquiesce and Columbia which was tops. Supersonic this time fella's? Come on....
