Yeah I know here I am the morning after, it isn't even 7:30 A-M yet, I still should be in bed but I guess that shows you how wired I am rite now!!!
First of all, let me say that I was quite surprised with how many high school/college kids there were at the show last nite... TOTALLY different crowd than at MSG. I would say that the first five rows were made up of almost ENTIRELY college-aged people. Out in the parking lot we were parked next to these very wild VERY DRUNK high school/college people (that is another thread in itself! LOL) and when we were packing up ready to go over to Zunoasis' truck, this drunk girl comes up to me and says "will they play Champagne Supernova tonite??" I just shook my head in disgust. Then she said "oh and will they play Wonderwall??" I nodded and pulled out my copy of Definitely Maybe and asked her if she recognized any of the songs on there and at first she mistaked Supersonic for Champagne Supernova. LOL. The loudest pop of the nite came when Liam walked to the mike and said "CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA...." the whole place ERUPTED, and Liam just looked over at Noel and grinned!
The crowd wasn't NEARLY as loud as MSG, Noel had to pick up the second chorous of DLBIA, the crowd just wasn't loud enough to carry it. Liam looked so fucking cool in his kangol hat, I met eyes with him twice during the night... I was a bit worried though at the beginning, since all the shows I have been to at Tweeter they have been bogged down with SOUND PROBLEMS... During Lyla, after the last chorous, Liam didn't keep repeating the "Heyyyy Lyyyyyyyla" part, I thought at that point we were in trouble... and he kept gesturing to the sound guy all nite, Liam looked really pissed off at the end of Lyla (sounded fine where I was?) but he worked through it, even Noel looked over at the sound guy a couple of times. As for Liam's voice, if at MSG it was a 9 out of 10 then at this show it was an 8. Not quite as good as MSG, but certainly more than adequate.
The whole place lit up with lighters during CS.... what a nice touch. Liam and Noel worked the crowd pretty good, actually I think they talked to us a little bit more than MSG. In fact Liam and Noel actually through a couple of jabs back and forth at each other a couple of times!
At the end of Rock N Roll Star, when Zak was going nuts, Liam sat down on one of the monitors and acted like he was oblivious to it all, classic fucking Liam. And at one point during the nite, (forget during which song) Liam balanced his tambourine ON HIS FACE.
A quick note on Jet... the Boston crowd received them a lot better than the New York Crowd did... in fact one of the loudest sing-a-longs of the evening came during "Look What you've Done" (!?) Shows you how different the demographics of the crowd was from NY to Boston.
At the very end Noel through Liam's tambourine right in our direction, but not far enough... two people "caught" it, this kid who couldn't have been more than 16, and a girl who was with her friend... he wouldn't let it go, they were fighting over it... This kid probably doesn't even know Liam's name and he won't let it go and just let the poor girl have it... don't know who eventually got it...
All in all, a great show, one step behind MSG, but still GREAT, still CLASSIC Oasis. Certainly the last few nights will be etched in my mind forever.

Completely agree with ya djlen. I was amazed at the amount of 13 year old girls there. twice I had kids asking to buy beer for them. Good gig though. Just not the same as MSG. Anyone know what they were filming last night for?

And don't cha know if they DO come back in October, or whenever, we are SO going to do it all over again. I will be there!

First of all, thanks to DJLen for typing up this review. I'm way to tired right now to even begin writing up something like that!
For me the show was better than MSG only because I was in front of the stage instead of above and behind it, so I got the full effects of the sound and lighting. I did notice the number of cameras on stage, in addition to the camera mounted on a large boom behind the soundboard. So it looks like they were definitely taping for something. I don't think it's for a release like FTM or There & Then, there weren't that many cameras, plus the majority of them were off to the side, and not in front. Maybe something like the HBO Reverb special from a few years back perhaps? Tailgating was fun, cops busting 16 year olds all over the place, good lot scene. Sox won, Yankees lost.... great day!!

and I should add that the recording for the Tweeter show came out MUCH better than MSG. I'll try to get them both out as soon as possible

Zunoasis, I see what ya mean with better seats. at MSG I was 300 level, cld not see squat, worked my way up to 100 level - NOEL's side, 15 feet away after I had to "plea bargain " with the security that busted me. I sweet talked, it worked and I was close to the lads, watched the dude pass guitars' to Noel, saw Noel and Zak interect quite a bit ! Ooooyyy-aaaaayy-siiiiiiis !

cheers all
this is my first post, but let me start by saying that i've been viewing this website for almost a year and have enjoyed all of your insights into our favorite band on the planet.
i just completed my journey to 3 oasis shows in the last week and it's been a complete blast. started in toronto last week at the sold-out gig there, then on to msg for the show of the tour. i finished last night at the tweeter center in boston.
my take on what's transpired so far...the boys are in top form and are making us proud with every show. toronto was crazy...the fans new the songs and the energy was fantastic. msg...well, for those who were there, we got the gem of the summer. i'll never forget the vibe as they came on stage. there was a pulse to the crowd...a heartbeat...it was mesmorizing.
the tweeter center was my favorite show as far as being close to the band. at toronto and msg, i had ok seating, but at this last show, i was in section 2...row T (20 rows deep). this last show was surreal...a fantasy. being that close almost makes you half think that you're not really there...like you're dreaming. so...yeah...it was cool as f.ck.
as far as the crowd for the boston show, i was disappointed by the fans up front in the premium seating. a lot of the seats were reserved seating and the fans were casual fans at best. no one was nearly as excited as the people i was with and many didn't know the any of the new songs. i felt bad for the fans up on the lawn. they would have sold their first born to get down front and many of the people surrounding me didn't deserve the honor of being that close.
however,
the band was fantastic. they were so professional and ripped through the set with surgeon-like precision. i can't believe that they're tourning the US again and this time they are getting it right. i'm already looking in to traveling to see the second leg of the us tour this fall...they were that good.
my friends who attended the show were astounded (it was their first time seeing oasis live) and they were all telling me how impressed they were with the quality of the performance.
i'm still smiling at the last week and i hope you all get a chance to see them OR to see them again.
thanks for reading
