Sadly, I really dont think its going to be a hit in the US...I still think Mucky Fingers shouldve been the 2nd single...Its the most positively reviewed song out of DBTT. Now, thats a hit right there! Don't know why Noel chose LTBL.

I don't think Noel chose it. Well, 'Lyla' was Sony's choice for their first single...I think Noel gets the last word on the following singles though. I can't see him just sitting there and be idle while Sony has their pick of what they think will be the next succession of singles.

yeah i have to agree, I don't think it will do to well on the US airwaves, as it will be written off as another sappy Oasis ballad. I think its a great song, but my tastes of music aren't generally whats popular on american radio.

Personally I love the fookin tune, I reckon its one of the best tunes on the album. The new songbird!
Quite frankly I don't give a shite how it does in the US charts and its twice the song mucky fingers is and always will be!!

Its definietly the new US single because I'm an intern at a radio station in memphis and we have that promo along with a press release from epic records and it's going to be added to the rotation in the next couple weeks according to one of the jocks

I personally don't like a handful of their newer ballads...It sounds so contrived now...Not the same magic as Slide Away and Wonderwall. When u hear SA and WW, u get goosebumps...When I hear SCYHO and LTBL, I think 'alright'. Mucky Fingers is the one song on this album that can withstand the test of time. All the non-oasis fans and casual ones think MF is the shite and that says a lot because Americans have been pre-programmed to dismiss them as has beens.

I think that LTBL has just as good of a shot in the U.S. as Lyla ever did. Maybe the shortened length will make it less "sappy." Have you guys heard that horrible song called "Collide." If that can make it in the U.S. and "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 can make it, then LTBL certainly has a decent chance. I think a lot of Americans like sappy ballads. I also think that they are unpredictable.
Keep The Dream Alive, if released as the third single, could boost Oasis back to high popularity in the U.S. I think KTDA sounds like a lot of stuff they play over here, but it is a million times better. I could see hundreds of thousands of people driving in their cars or listening to their ipods and singing "I'm no stranger to this place..."
Also, speaking of Ipod, I always thought that Meaning of Soul would be perfect for one of those stupid commercials. It is always a bold, blunt, unique, and sort of strange song that is featured. Could you imagine Liam in one of those commercials. Better than Bono. I swear that I don't know any people in this country that even like U2.

QueenOasis, I was wondering if that is you in the picture with Liam. I think that is a really cool picture if that is the case.

He's saying "you oughta see these two birds taking a picture with Liam. Dammit that guy always gets the women after him for pictures while I'm stuck in the background talking on the damn mobile." My only reply was "keep the dream alive my friend, keep the dream alive....."

I don't understand why they won't release Keep the Dream Alive. I like Let There Be Love, but I feel that KTDA would do much better in the states. I would' t compare LTBL to SCYHO because it is not as good. I have played SCYHO to non Oasis fans and they all really liked it.
